Depth doesn't mean much if the starters aren't good

When you finally just accept that NFL is a huge business and owners and many players are in in it first and foremost to make money for themselves, then the rest of this stuff won't bother you as much.
The Cowboys are going to use most of their cap space anyway, so even if there is some left over it's so tiny it has no real impact on Jerry's net worth.

Some fans getting mad because Tank said "he'll never win a Super Bowl in Dallas -now" Don't worry Tank-your odds just got better. Jerry is moonshining on all Dallas fans laughing all the way to the bank. Funny yet not at the same time.

Watch the video; he meant what he said which was he knew he would NEVER WIN ONE HERE. Not because he has left, but because it was NOT GOING TO HAPPEN

They signed two former #1 picks and a former #2 pick so the players have talent.

They just haven't done as much as they probably should have. In most cases, injury was a issue.

The Cowboys had some success fixing broken 1st rounders before. Malik Hooker turned his career around and if just one of these guys can do the same it may be worth it.

Besides, one way to prevent expensive free agents is to make your guys better. If these new Cowboys can at least provide some competition then there is no better incentive to improve.
You could say they had potential. Or you could say they’ve proven they were over drafted. Hooker was a goid player who turned his health around more than his play

Every player who leaves says something of the sort. It’s many things they see. It’s the atmosphere, the approach to building the roster, the decision made on the staff. There is a problem her and that problem is Jerry.

When I look at the history of most of these new players I see a history of injuries that impacted their development.

RB Javonte Williams was averaging 4.4 yards a carry until his 2nd year injury.

DE Payton Turner suffered a shoulder injury in November of his rookie season in 2021. In the opening game of the 2023 season, he injured his toe and didn't come back until the playoffs.

I'm not saying they will have breakout seasons, I just think they never really had a chance to prove themselves due to injury setbacks and they might come in with a chip on their shoulders.
