Depth doesn't mean much if the starters aren't good

No. I'll never say that.

However, even a broken watch is right twice a day.

It's really up to the players, they have physical attributes or they wouldn't be 1st and 2nd round picks. They know their careers didn't start out the way they wanted and time is running out.
This is similar to my take. Yes jerry is a detriment in many ways but that does not mean that cannot be overcome.

I can simultaneously like the change in strategy and still have little faith in them.

To no surprise, the Dallas Forbes Cowboys are signing a bunch of rotational guys. Which one of these guys is going to make any significant difference? How about we overpay for good players instead of journeymen for once?

Looking good on Forbes though:flagwave:
Micha, makes everyone better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

......that will NEVER happen. Jerry would have to admit failure
I cannot say that Jerry is the leading driver of this change in strategic policy but it should be obvious that the Cowboys have 'changed their mind' and 'moved to what they consider a better course than what they are doing before.'

Expecting Jerry to come out contrite and apologize for all the hurt he has cuased you is not going to happen. Actions speak louder than words anyway, double that with the Cowboys.

Now they still have a good chance to suck even with the changes. Again change does not mean solution but rather without change there will be no solution.

Same thing. Still shows lack of character and low intellect
Then you double down on it

That's ok gtb, I still believe in you.
so can you get through doors and around corners as your posts seem to show doubt about that

S
They signed two former #1 picks and a former #2 pick so the players have talent.

They just haven't done as much as they probably should have. In most cases, injury was a issue.

The Cowboys had some success fixing broken 1st rounders before. Malik Hooker turned his career around and if just one of these guys can do the same it may be worth it.

Besides, one way to prevent expensive free agents is to make your guys better. If these new Cowboys can at least provide some competition then there is no better incentive to improve.
So essentially what you say is:

Trade for 3 players and hope one may be good? Live with the other 2 that are crap.

OK. Thats one way to build a team.

I would try to evaluate players and only trade for the really good ones.

But the problem is "evaluation" which we dont know how to do it.
So we decide to trade for former first rounders because if they were such high picks they should have talent.

What an professional approach!

I cant even believe that i still follow what this FO does.

The good thing though is that you don't have that dreaded "drop off" when sending in the backup!

Huh? Changed their roster building philosophy?

They are doing things almost exactly like they did last season which is getting underperforming players on the cheap.

Let's put it on the record....I say a 3rd place finish in the East. Since they've "changed" so much man up and predict they will win the East

Balls in your court now

So jsut to be clear. You think that the Cowboys are acting teh same way here in early March as last year.

I get your level. About at everything they do sucks so it looks the same.

Going by what you feel is known as emotional intelligence. It sucks for actually understanding what is going on.

PS just because I say it is different, does not mean I say it will work. I get that anything looking other than bad is a problem for you.

Tripling down on it.

I believe in you, you can do it!
dude you are talking with gets off on this type of transaction. I know it likely seems odd that someone would enjoy it but it is what it is.

no point in entertaining the creepy.

I'm just happy that the team is aggressively dumpster diving this year instead of waiting for a while and then passively dumpster diving.

/sarcasm

What narrative are they doubling down on?
You realize taht this is still the first week of free agency?

When was the last time you remember the Cowboys signing any outside free agent in week 1? They signed like 6.

I can understand no confidence. The Joneses deserve none but if you think this is business as usual you have no idea what has been going on the last dozen years or so.
I been hitting it for 30 years. Keep drinking the Kool-Aid. Better check it for arsenic. But I doubt if that would stop you from drinking it knowing this
