Depth is a major problem

Wowzers!!!

This used to be me. Thank goodness I grew up!!!

Dude, you are in classic overreaction mode right now. The season didn't start today. There will be plenty of moves made in the coming weeks and Jerry will be in on a couple of them.

Don't take my advice though. Keep the overreactions coming. You're giving me great comic relief on a lovely Sunday morning.

Yeah, you grew up. The guy who has a picture of a woman's butt as their avatar. Hilarious!

I don't think its an overreaction. It's a valid concern. And one that has me scared bc we saw what injuries did to the '08 team.

All you sunshine-pumpers and pollyanna's who pretend like nothing is wrong are the naive ones.

Way to many people over reacting as normal we need LB depth as well Brooking is 35 you do realize and if Bradie James also ot injured then Carpenter and Jason Williams starting ouch.

Plus the young guy would still be unproven young depth but according to people on this board Free could not play a lick of football

Yep over reaction; you also realize a lot of vets will be cut and FA are still out there etc etc

There is overreaction like we see here and then I think some people don't realize the real threat comes from an injury to the Rat.

Forgive me for worshiping women with lovely posteriors. I didn't say I was geriatric!

You'll never admit to your overreaction. You'll just slowly fade into the walls as the FO goes about finishing up their off-season work in FA. Every single team goes into the season with a slight worry at some position. It's called working within universal constraints. Jerry is still working though. Please be sure to post again once he pulls in a vet FA or two. ;)

If we lose Rat I would be crying you just don't replace guys like that, how many starters play at that level let alone backups.

Replacing guys like Ware or Rat due to injury is near impossible if they where that good they would be starting or not here long or young raw and unknown.

I too am worried about OL depth.

Then again, I'd like you to name me a team that is deep at every position. Just one. I will wait.

I really hope M Hamlin can win a starting job for two reasons. Firstly I like his upside better than any saftey on the roster outside of possibly AOA.

Secondly with him starting it adds depth to your secondary since that would send Ball back to a reserve role where he can adequately backup both the corner and saftey.

This versatility makes Ball a much more valuable reserve for us than he could ever be as a starter imho.

The lack of depth in the OL obviously will have to be dealt with before the start of the season. Although it's not impossible to believe that could come from within.

without going through the thread im just going to point out that both ball and AOA are CB/S which gives us flexibility and we also drafted jamar wall a CB + mcann and church are going to have a shot to make the roster

Well, I went through the whole thread, and it still doesn't matter to him. Apparently if you're YouTube video doesn't impress him, you suck. And if you don't make the pro bowl while being injured most if not all the season, you suck. If you weren't ranked high in his draft magazine, you suck.

The sky is falling, the season is already a failure, the world is ending, we are all going to die, but hey, he's an optimist.

Go listen to the post draft press conference. Jerry says he wants to address the depth concerns on the offensive line, and will look into bringing in a vet. Calm the hell down. Holy ****! It's April, genius! Heaven forbid you have a kid and he's not a doctor within two months.

thats what i figured after the first 8 or so posts which is why i didnt go through the whole thread lol

OL depth is not the only problem on the team. We really have no Mike backup that could play. There is no one behind Carp that can dependably back him up. I'm not convinced we are SB contenders if Romo goes down. An injury to Ware or Spencer will cause problems.

Every team has depth problems. We will sign a veteran OL. There will be veterans cut after Jun1. I still want us to sign Otogwe.
