Eagleton's explanation of the reasoning behind it doesn't make it any better. The fact is that it was a stupid decision in the first place, and that no running game in NFL history could ever produce at the level required to justify that level of investment.

Dak gave the ball away early in games too. But he was the reason the Cowboys had a chance at the end. Zeke makes very little positive impact in this offense.

The systems are very different as are the RB's... it's like trying to compare Barry to Emmitt... of the three two are HoFers and one has been one of the best backs in the league every year he's been in the league with this year being the exception for multiple reasons.
