Twitter: Derrick Henry says he will be ready if needed for TNF

Henry....319 carries for the season, 4.5 ypc

Zeke....204 carries, 4.1 ypc.

Yes @CowboyRoy ...number of carries DO matter.

And shut it with the 3 yards and dust bullcrap.
Obviously CowBoy Roy never seen old Southwest Conference football where Texas and Oklahoma did massive damage with the wishbone offense. 3 yards and a cloud of dust.

The Titans have lost five straight . Dallas needs to show up stick a fork in them . Serves the owner right . She has a fit AJ Brown punked them so after the Eagles beating she fires the GM . On a first place team.

I don't think this games matters for the Titans. Win or lose, they have to beat the Jags the following week.

To me, with nothing to gain with a win Thursday that maybe keeping a totally unrealistic chance at a WC alive, Vrabel would be committing malpractice playing Henry given the importance of the Jags game next week.

I get it, they are players and if healthy enough they should play. But he won't be 100% and if you get him hurt against Dallas and he's out against the Jags, woo boy, Vrabel would be facing some serious heat.

Except when you've lost 5 straight you may be inclined to play your starters in hopes of pulling some semblance of momentum together.

Not sure they want to go into the Jax game on a 6 game skid
What’s more important? Ending the losing streak but losing starters? Or being healthy and having two weeks to prepare?

Except when you've lost 5 straight you may be inclined to play your starters in hopes of pulling some semblance of momentum together.
is it worth losing Henry? Or any other starter?

Henry is 110 behind the NFL rushing leader, Josh Jacobs of the Raiders.
If he sits out this game, he has no chance at the rushing title, so he probably wants to play.
But if he has any issue with his hip, they will likely hold him out.

I hope he plays

Cowboys allegiance aside, that man is impressive. Maybe the best combination of athleticism and power ever in the NFL, or certainly at least since Bo

I like watching people that have 1 in a million talent and ability

Derrick Henry fits that description. I like watching him play. Want to beat Tennessee at their best

You have a team that plays on grass most every week and we don't

And we're on short rest

(And Pollard is banged up)

And We're 0-3 on grass

And giving up 10 points and covered last week

And they are on a 5 game skid

And they have a running QB

And Henry may play

And we have a makeshift secondary

And all the turnovers went our way last week

I don't care if we're playing north Texas state

That's a no brainer. I'm taking the 10 points on grass

If Henry plays the Titans may win straight up js

I penciled this game as a loss way back just like I penciled last week's philly game as a win.

I think it will be a low scoring close game.

Our D needs the "practice" against the run.
They don't need the practice as much as they need the healing.
Not having to face Henry would be best case scenario IMHO.
He returned to practice on Tuesday and expect him to practice in full Wednesday.
If he does, Henry will be playing.

It's a prime time game against the Cowboys

The Titans are on a 5 game slide and in front of their home crowd.

And they've turned the ball over alot lately.

But they really haven't been getting blown out. Mahomes didn't blow them out. And they beat GB

And prolly alot less likely to get blown out by a turf team who hasn't won on grass all year.

Bad footwork, Poor tackling, batted balls.

What's the odds of Lamb stringing together 2 good games in a row??

Whenever a game means nothing to a team, they play like it means nothing. It means nothing to the Titans. It's like the final preseason game. I don't see Henry playing more then the first series. He is banged up.

Only hope we get a big lead and we can pull our guys and rest them for the playoffs unless Philly loses this weekend. If Philly loses this weekend then everyone has to play next week.

Maybe but you get one of your injured players even more hurt so they can’t play in a winner take all game?

Whew boy.

Marcus Mariota beat Dak at At&t 4 years ago 28-14 w this same coach.

I can't assume whose playing or resting. That's all hype

I'm just going by the stats.

It's not like Tennessee is a contender. They going for the rushing record or bust imo.

Maybe Pollard and Henry doesn't play and it's Zeke vs their backup. It's prolly still close to even. Unless Barr turns into Lve

They still have receivers and tes and our new cbs have little experience on grass and their defense does

I'm sticking w my original gut feeling going way back and ignoring the hype

I don't like being a 10 point fave on the road on grass against anybody

Not w our record 0-3

Not even against rest your starters

I could be wrong though.

I really wanted this game to mean something. The Titans are a poor man’s San Francisco 49ers. They have a great front 7 and King Henry. We would have been able to see how tough this team is now.
They have a horrible pass defense and without Tannehill a suspect passing game
