Derrius Guice asked if he was gay at Combine

Really hope it wasn't us. That screams draft pick fines.

That question came from an assistant Atlanta Falcons coach. Falcons head coach Dan Quinn said in a statement that he spoke to the assistant who asked the insensitive question and “explained to him how inappropriate and unprofessional this was.” Quinn did not name the assistant coach.
Falcons. Not named or fired, either. Should probably be suspended by the league.

Honestly it may not seem like it but things like this matter....even in a bull crap PC world like we live today it's still very stigmatized and a lot of players wouldn't want that on their team or in their locker room. I think it's a legitimate question to ask, could be very uncomfortable for some players and cause problems with team chemistry.

I thought that was referred to the incident a few years ago regarding Eli Apple?

As silly and clearly inappropriate as this was--and obviously not a serious question but a weak attempt to see how cool a prayer's head is--Guice came out of this looking like a champ.
He appears to have just rolled with it with amusement instead crying a like a newborn and running to his wittle safey spacey.
He seemed amused, if anything.

Still doesn't mean that line of questioning is appropriate, but good for Guice.

How stupid do you have to be to ask this in 2018?

This can't be a serious post.

I agree with what you are saying here to a small extent. But that probably comes from a team with a very conservative locker room.

This is a very polarized world any more. And I think the NFL is really at the far end of the spectrum which is different from what appears to be the "mainstream" world.

I don't think the question was especially relevant though.

I think most NFL players are over the fact about the gay issue.

It is just like the military, it does not matter when you are in the fox hole.
