Derwin James,Ya i know there has been other threads about him. Just wanted to give my two cents as fan. He is really the only player I am interested in the first round for Dallas, they would more than likely have to move up to get him but ya...

Last year my pick was Jalen Ramsey CB...Zeke pick turned out pretty good, both are dominant players, secretly still wished we took Ramsey though as i am a defense loving guy :)

best Safety in the class.
would take a miracle slide for him to be there at 19.

Are there any 3rd round prospects that stand out to you? For me, not really. The point is, it’ll take that and a little more to trade up for him. Washington has the 13th pick. If you don’t made that deal, they likely take him. I’m here to tell you right now, Derwin is worth those picks.

Well then let me tell you three other you should be interested in. They are Quinton Nelson, Roquan Smith, and Tremaine Edmonds.

I do like Justin Reid,S-Stanford...could get him in the 2nd or 3rd.
Jordan Whitehead,Pitt...Kyzir White,WVa...Marcus Allen,Penn St....I also like Terrell Edmunds,Va Tech(TreMaine's brother) and Trayvon Henderson,Hawaii. If we dont get James in the 1st....there are some options out there for us.

He'd be excellent if available if available at 19. Though, I'd also heavily (pun intended) consider Vea if available.

Part of me wants them to take a safety in the 1st so they can move Byron jones to corner. If they do, they have to take a receiver in the 2 Nd.
I want Byron at slot cb (if they want him on the outside he has to produce from day 1 because Chido and Lewis already showed they can do it) but not due to a first round safety being drafted. We can have a guy in round 3-4 to rotate with Heath, Woods and Frazier.

He’s been good at coverage for 3 years. He’s probably out fastest corner, he and chido. Plus he’s the biggest.

He’s been on slow tight ends though. I don’t trust him on the island. If they put him there we’ll know by week 1 if it was a mistake or not because I guarantee he’ll be tested immediately

Keep in mind, those t e s were bigger and stronger than him, so his strength wasn’t an advantage. Against wr s, his strength would be an assist. You know he has the speed. He chased down j ajayi( I know he ran a 4.58). Plus Bryan ran a 4.3 at his pro day.

Honestly, as long as he’s not a starting safety I’m fine lol. Put him at boundary cb, slot, whatever.

Plus, he’s never gone into a season knowing he’s a corner. With his size and arm length, he can jam receivers and contest catches against the bigger receivers:
