DeSean Jackson carted off Eagles practice field

Posted by Evan Silva on July 31, 2010 4:07 PM ET

Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports that Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson was injured on the training camp practice field Saturday afternoon, and had to be taken away on a cart. Though the extent of the injury is unknown, McLane's tweets indicate that Jackson may have injured his back.

After being examined by trainers on the ground, Jackson was able to get to his feet and limp "gingerly" to the cart.

Little else is known about the injury at this time. We'll keep you updated.

wow second NFC wideout carted off today..I think Jacksons a well, nevermind that I don't want any mods pissed..

Hope he recovers though, so he can do another premature td celebration and embarrass himself again.

Ditto from my post in the Harvin thread. Jackson getting injured doesn't bother me a bit...hope it lingers into the regular season if it helps the Cowboys, and I say that with no shame.

I'm afraid I can't echo that sentiment. I want my completely healthy team to beat their completely healthy team. I won't wish an injury on anybody.

Great. My Cowboy hopes were dashed yesterday now my fantasy team hopes have been dashed.

Why did you have the draft so early?

THis bs about not wanting to beat the other team unless they are 100% is just that -BS. 20 years from now who cares; nuts 10 years from now who cares. All that matters is who won and who lost. Whining because the other team did not have this or that player matters ZILCH. ITs like us crying about Deion in the 94 NFC championship game and his interfering with Irvin. DOES NOT MATTER.

Being glad or happy that someone has been injured is classless. I hate that more than anything.

Clearly it's the turf they play on... and probably because he's worked to hard as well.

Somehow.. this is Orlando Scandrick's doing.

Or maybe its the media's doing since Jackson had been refusing to talk to them all of training camp.

Said one local Philly reporter, "Step 2..".
