Except the helmet-to-helmet portion of the hit, I agree.

There was no helmet to helmet. He did lead with his head tho.............

23 second mark. Top of helmet collided with the facemask. That is still considered helmet to helmet.

Funny, when it happened to Tony this Sunday, Aikman said that as a runner Tony had to expect that it could happen.

to me, helmet to helmet was originally meant for actual making contact first with helmet on another player's helmet. it's now been expanded by the nfl to take out hits at all and it is a shame IMO. that wasn't helmet to helmet in my opinion. it was a good hit on the shoulders and chest and as he drove through, he might have barely touched helmet to chinstrap/facemask. perfectly clean IMO.

I agree. If you want to see a real helmet to helmet hit see James Harrison.

If you're running forward and bent down, it's impossible to not "lead with the helmet", because the head tallest part of the body. What else are you gong to lead with, your belly button?

This is like the old joke "Life is the leading cause of death." You know what the leading cause of concussions is in football? Playing football. It's pretty much innate and inherent to the sport. If you don't like concussions, I suggest playing another sport. Just like if you don't like having arm problems or frayed rotator cuffs, I suggest not playing baseball and pitching. And if you don't like getting punched in the face, broken noses and cauliflower ears, I suggest staying away from boxing.

One of the ESPN talking heads made an interesting point on the radio the other day...

In a nutshell, he said that playing football is a dangerous job, in the same way being a firefighter, or a high steel welder, or an off-shore oil rigger, all of these professions have some inherent danger in them. There are things that all of them do to make their jobs safer, but you can't fully remove the danger.

Football players know football is dangerous and they know that they are being extremely well compensated for taking that risk. You can't legislate out all of the danger of playing football, unless you take the pads and helmets off and replace them with flags.
