Two thoughts came to my mind when I got wind of this.

1.) DeSean Jackson overvalues himself.
-Does he not realize that he finished well below 1000 yards the last two years in a row?
-Does he not realize that he only put up a whopping 81 receiving yards and no TDs over the last (and most important) games of the season?
-Does he not realize that Dez Bryant has more receiving TDs over the last 3 seasons than Desean has in his entire 6 year career?

There are a lot of better options out there, DeSean. You are not a legitimate number 1 guy.

2.) Maybe he realizes that, with his size, he's at a higher risk of being knocked out of the NFL at any moment than most? Or maybe he realizes that his only asset (elite speed) will likely be gone when his contract is up and he's the big 3-0. Trying to get all the money he can, while he can.

What a doosh.

"Hopefully, we can work things out smoothly and not have to worry about anything out of the ordinary."

Nice veiled threat there, too

I don't like him because he's an Iggle. But he does do good charity work.

However, let the offseason of distraction begin! I love it!!

Not sure what makes you think that.

Bryant was the first, first round rookie to sign in 2010 and he's stated a few times his thanks to the organization for sticking with him and how he would like to repay them. And of course, he's a Texas kid.

I think if anyone is apt to take a hometown discount for this team, it would actually be Bryant. Dude just wants to play football.

Dez is a competitior, right now he is trying to undo all the bad PR he has on his name. Now maybe down the road but he has too much in his recent past to erase.

The Eagles are way too smart to do that.

This isn't the Jones clan running the show in Phiily. They have a competant front office.

That's a shame. Eagles fans probably love how Jones keep overpaying and getting us into salary cap trouble.

Eagles should targe De'Anthony Thomas in the draft and let Jackson ride out his contract or trade him.

Does he run anything other than go routes?

I remember him several times giving up on plays going over the middle because he wanted no part of the contact. I remember it was a big topic of discussion at the time. Like he just stopped.

He was the one who pretty much brought the crap of dropping the ball before you get to the endzone. Started that in that high school all star game.
