His base salary was supposed to be $10.75M this year. His coverage skills aren't up to Jones' level but he would be a whole lot cheaper than Jones. I'm anxious to see if the Cowboys show any interest.

There isn't any question the Cowboys go CB in the 1st or 2nd round.

I remember Brett Kollman did a video on the Falcons defense, and how they were just completely uncoordinated and weren't communicating. I think that unit as a whole was an ill-coached disaster and some of the players might be better than their system and teammates made them look. Trufant is a guy I would absolutely be willing to bet on.

Doubt both happen. Harris is the better player, but would take Trufant who is likely a much better value I believe. Not opposed to looking at Rhodes either. Frankly any of those guys would be plug and play and could help Awuzie and Lewis too.

Also with Harris I believe he would possibly count against our comp pick formula for Jones. Trufant and Rhodes as cuts wouldn't.

Are yall forgetting that the Chubb run where Trufant gave up on the play that allowed the long td? He is also prone to getting a lot of pi.

He gives me Mike Jenkins 2010 and beyond thoughts and Falcon fans were done with Trufant since.

Dan Quinn is a defensive guy, but his mistake during the 1-7 start was firing his DC and trying to DC as a head coach. The improvement in the second half was due to getting Raheem Morris, who was working with the wide receivers, back to coaching defense,. RM simplified the game for folks and the defense began to ball out.

IMO Dan should have been fired, but Home Depot thought otherwise.

Trufant hasn't been the same since his big contract. Good player when he's on the field, but hasn't been healthy.
