Detroit game is so very important to the 2023 season

It’s funny we’re crying about officiating cause it seems every time Detroit comes to town…they end up getting screwed by the refs and leave with a loss. But, I think Detroit wins this one and cowboys are going to take it up the…by the refs this year.

The important thing is that they play well heading onto the Playoffs. The Cowboys aren't playing hard enough, and the Offense has gone stale.

Detroit still has a shot at the #1 seed unless SF wins tonight. Even still, if Philly loses tonight, we can beat Detroit and possibly leapfrog them in the seeding with a win.

It’s more important for Det or even Philly…. We are locked in.. pending an upset by a double digit dog.

We'll see but my prediction is if the Eagles beat the Giants today, the Cowboys will half give up on the season. Next week, Tyron will sit. Hankins will sit, and maybe one or two other players who are nursing injuries will sit so they can get healthy for the playoffs. I don't think the Cowboys will give 100% against the Lions and if the Lions get an early lead we may see an early exit of some of the Cowboys starters. Washington will be treated like a preseason game with Rush starting and Trey Lance coming in in the second half. Dak will be inactive for the game and probably a bunch of other starters as well.

Honestly, if the Cowboys position in the playoffs is locked, Dak will play loose and throw for 5 TDs and almost 400 yards. Who needs to see that when it means nothing.

Detroit clinched their division today. They have a good team. Losing to them at home would be a disaster as far as this season goes. That would mean a three game losing skid with what amounts to an exhibition type game against Washington remaining. Playing well and winning is a must against the Lions.

Don't hold your breath....

Then we'll sit our starters against the Skins because we can't change our seeding. We'll take the L and finish 11-6. Jerry will call it a successful season and high dive into his vault of billions.

Losing two in a row to a couple of good teams on the road is one thing. But losing the third in a row at home to another good team would go a long way to damage the already fragile team confidence. I agree that the odds of a good playoff run are not very good. If they have any real playoff success hope they pretty much HAVE to beat the Lions.
