Something to consider, but definitely not a 3rd or 4th. But if we get into day 3 and Dallas has missed out of a running back maybe a late round pick or pick swap for him? Could be a short term fix if we feel like an immediate contributor is not there.

4th would be fine for a back that can run and catch - even on a one year deal. The chance of hitting on a 4th round pick is low enough.
I'd prefer 5th but could live with a 4th. He isn't durable and has a little wiggle but the question is how would he compliment Pollard? I don't see it happening...they can draft a solid RB in 3rd/4th round.

This a draft has a surplus of RBs why trade for an average RB?

I'd rather use the draft picks on other positions and sign veteran RB post draft...then giving up a pick for Swift.

Would you trade a 3rd or 4th round pick for DeAndre Swift? That's probably the range you would be looking for a TB in this draft anyway.
love Swift and he is a Gibbs clone. Really odd pick by the Lions. I would give them a 5th. But the problem is that Swift is due to be resigned in a year I believe.

Isn't he injury prone? Tough to trade picks for a rb with 1 year left on his deal. Ask me again later tomorrow. Too many good backs left on the board to even consider it right now.
Yes. I think he's been injured and missed time each of the last three seasons.

NO, there is 5 Swifts in this draft. He is injury prone as well and doesn't fit the type of physical runner we need.
