Same team has won 12 ballgames every year the past three seasons. The talent is not that much worse. Detroit won at Ari by 3 points. They were in a duel vs Seattle who are not that good. Dallas went to Pittsburgh and dominated came home and were bulldozed. Something psychological is wrong with this team. No team is as bad as the Cowboys have been at home. No team. The 2002 team put a better fight than this. Granted I would take Glover and Ellis over anybody on this defensive line, but come on.... nobody is that bad
Thank Goodness we don't have to play the SB at Home!!!

Blowouts like this will happen when so many defense pieces are missing. Everyone needs to stop complaining and pointing the finger everywhere. This should have been no shock to anyone. Until enough of the starters return from injury, this is the team we are stuck with.

The defense pieces missing don't affect the offense. It stuck it up with its starters. 9 points. Not a single TD. Yeah, blowouts happen, but the offense at least could have TRIED to make it a game.

Just rewatched some of the highlights and one thing that kept popping up was how bad Zach Martin looked in pass protection.
We already know how bad Steele is, but I was very surprised how bad Matin looked in this game.

9 points is plenty enough to win if the defense does its job.

Lions had OL running routes........embarrassing. Dan Campbell coached disrespectfully.......and he shouldn't be blamed one bit. This was a Varsity vs JV type result.

Michael Irvin is hurting. I saw his youtube reaction to the loss, and man...
He thinks the players don't care, and I think he's right. Was kind of glad to see someone blame the players instead of the coaches and the schemes.

We all knew this would be a real battle to even make the playoffs before the season began.
Jerry and Steven had the CAP space and the draft, yet they did probably the worst roster creation since they’ve owned the team.
This isn’t the worst team they’ve had, but considering what they had and what they needed, they didn’t even try. Turpin is our only speed threat. We have 1 top receiver and a bunch of guys, possession types at best. None of the current receivers block. We have no threat at RB even when the blocking comes around. We brought in one veteran LB capable of playing in the middle, and he’s injured. They ignored the flawed DT position.

We will win games because of Dak, Lamb, Ferguson, and coaching. Dont laugh; name me a coach that could compete at a high level with a team that cannot stop the run and cannot muster a running game of their own. Add to that the 4 injuries at DE, the so called #2 receiver, the MLB and his backup, the rookie LT, the veteran LT/LG, and the starting CB.

No one should be surprised. We ran the ball 17 times for 53 yards and passed the ball 44 times. The ratio was even worse when the game mattered. The Lions ran the ball 36 times for 184 yards and only passed when they wanted to, 27 times.

What the Lions have with playaction, playmakers who are real RBs, and an OL that excels in run blocking not only makes it so much easier to play offense and so hard to defend them, but it is the exact opposite of what we have.

The Cowboys have a young, developing and struggling OL, no RB with any speed or real power, no threats to make a big play receiving outside of Lamb, and a serious lack of speed or quickness at receiver. Our offense has Dak and Lamb….period. It doesn’t matter how the two of them play, good or bad, the offense cannot play against a good team that abuses the defense because they are just as limited by being one dimensional. The Lions knew we had to pass every down. They had no respect for our run game even in the first series. That meant our QB and receivers had even less time to run a route or make a play.

Any offense that cannot run the ball is fatally flawed. Any defense that doesn’t have the personnel to stop the run is fatally flawed.
Dak lol

That's a 1-in-1000 whooping. We won't see another storm like that for 999 years!

I read on here all his success is due to Lamar Jacksons threat of running the ball.

So, if he came here, he would be struggling like Zeke. He's a system RB

Grandma called in today to Local TV Sports segment to opine:

"Don't be down on Dak so much. Yes, he has his problems, but y'all need to surround Dak with quality players."

I guess Grandma doesn't know, that "Dak" and his contract, is the problem that keeps the organization from being able to surround Dak with quality players.

That's some hard core denial in today's NFL that favors offense more than defense. Talk about copium. The offense was just as culpable and anyone who denies is has an agenda to protect a certain player above the rest of the team.

Even if Dallas was healthy and prepared, I feel like the Lions would still beat Dallas. The fashion in which they got slaughtered is what is concerning. Everyone is playing like trash minus a couple players.....
Sad.
