Deuce Vaughn has Been the Same Size all his Life

Whatever the Cowboys get out of Deuce Vaughn is a bonus.

People forget he was the 212th pick in the draft. Dallas took two players before him (Viliami Fehoku and Eric Scott) that didn't even play a regular season game for them. Yet if (or when) Deuce gets cut fans are going to rail over him being a wasted draft pick. Makes no sense.
RB's generally have an easier transition though.

Not saying it makes complete sense, just that there are some differences in expectations.

Nobody blames him for being the same size his whole life

It's probably cool to still be able to sleep in your own baby crib

Think of all the money he saves on clothes. Just keep buying those onesies from Target and your set!!!

I've known guys that maxed out in 9th grade.

Then again, I've known guys that grew 3 inches in his freshman year of college.

It's an interesting thing. Me and my middle brother always used to tease our youngest brother about his size. We called him "Smopol", i. e., "Small Paul". He ended up three inches taller than both of us.

Anyway, the Deuce's NFL player career is about to end but I get the feeling that his true NFL career is soon to begin. I think there is a position waiting for him in the scouting department. It's just a hunch.

At times I wonder if agents sow these hype pieces about their clients. And some fans (and correspondents like Mickey) publish these tidbits either out of fan enthusiasm or of the subconscious.
Deuce's agent, like others, is a hard worker.

Maybe he would have been our kick returner without Turpin. I don't know. I don't think he returns punts, though. Harris definitely overcame his lack of speed, but I don't think size is as important at receiver as it is at running back. We've used Turpin on a few running plays here and there, but I don't think we'd ever try to turn him into strictly a running back. And I think that's the challenge Deuce faces. His position isn't really conducive to being as small as he is. There have been a few exceptions to the rule, but not a whole lot.
You're missing the point it's OK you don't get it the light hasn't come on yet I used hairs as an example that he wasn't super fast he didn't offer much on offense and yet he was an integral part of our team you could be part of the team by being mostly focused as a special teams player and yes he can return punts if he's on a team that makes him the dedicated returner and that uses him properly with packages to his strengths he can offer as much as Turpin has offered to us just on another team but we don't have room for him it's as simple as that...

They're just not a spot here for him cause it's already taken by Turpin..... It's the last post because I'm tired of talking about it I watched the guy in college closely because as a long horn fan he was in our big 12 at the time he played against us I watched them play against Alabama the man can play football he may not be able to be an integral part of the offense but he definitely can be a better player in the NFL than the Cowboys have allowed him to be when he gets his opportunity he will prove it....

Remember that time that the Cowboys got rid of Amendola a bit too soon because he fumbled in a preseason game they didn't see his worth that's on that level I just don't think Vaughan has got the opportunities to prove he can find his small role on a team and be productive....

Anybody is putting faith in the fact that Mike Mccarthy doesn't seem very creative he's as close to Garrett as you can get as far as wanting to use veterans wanting to just go man on man and you just win and can't come up with schemes and packages and utilize players that can offer you something if you got creative he didn't use hunter correctly terpen on offense nope and he left Vaughn out there when we could have used them last year and didn't even think about using him until the seasons was almost all but over I didn't trust that Mike McCarthy was ever going to do it vaughn needs to be on a team that will allow him to be himself special teams small package on offense and all teams have that and we just happen to have a better version of that already in Turpin....

You know why does everyone have to be sarcastic if you read between the lines he meant he's always been the smallest on the football field since he's been playing football the size differentials always been there and yet he's always achieved greatness as far as being productive and it shouldn't be any different in the NFL he may not be as starting running back but if he was used to run back punts and kicks and given 5 to 6 snaps in a special packages on offense he could definitely help a team in the NFL but not here we already have a guy that does the same jobs also very small interpret and he does very well at special teams and when needed on offense....

I'm glad I can help you figure out what OP was trying to get across.....

He isn't small he's short.
He’s listed at 176 pounds and he didn’t look like he weighed that much when I saw him at camp last summer. Say what you will but that’s small for an NFL player, especially an RB. Everyone standing around watching him practice said he looked small. He looked like a little kid walking around on the field with the other players.

So far his traits have not translated well to the NFL, but he gets a new coach and a new run game coordinator so lets see if they can taylor something to help him take advantage of those traits.
