They had to justify the horrible decision on Dez, and it's ruined the game. A catch is no longer a catch.

The catch which was not a catch has changed the game. Now the refs can make a bias ruling on the field in favor of one team and later justify it by saying "the rules" are too complicated.

If they just stopped being biased and call it as it is - which was the case with Dez's catch, the game wouldn't have been ruined. Now penalties run rampant even for ticky tack fouls and has made watching games almost unbearable.

At the time my wife asked why the call was reversed and I said it was just another Dez catch. She just rolled her eyes.

If you've read the rule in question, you'd know the play was called correctly. Correctly, "according to the rule".

He's clearly going to the ground so nothing else matters unless he maintains possession all the way through the process of going to the ground.

The rule is the problem, not the application by the officials.

they have compromised the game in order to save face. Roger is a joke and his era is tarnished beyond repair. He keeps the owners pockets full so he keeps his job.
