Do we do what Atlanta did last year and just roll Dez out there to jog and be the decoy to open up things for everyone else? Is that wise?

I think it would not take anytime for the opponent to find out Dez is not a threat. CB will be physical with him at the line of scrimmage and test that foot early. I think for Dez to have any impact he needs to show he is ready to play

If he is not ready I would not even let him suit up. Dez does not strike me as the type that can go half throttle. If hes on the field he is going to be all in

Drags and crosses. Get the ball in his hands let him handle the rest.

only problem is truly dez style of play. he just refuses to go down. with that said, he better be at 100% on that field bc he can easily get hurt again

I WOULD use him inside the redzone

If he can function in the redzone fighting in smaller space and having to go up for the ball then his foot should be strong enough for the rest of it. It is lot harder working in redzone when defense is not worried you will go deep on them.

My vote is a resounding no. There is a lot of football left and we are only half a game out of first place. When he returns to action the only thing that should prevent Dez physically contributing is his conditioning. There is no sense in putting him out there when his foot isn't 100% when the risk of re-injury exists.

That and jumping up for balls , and other things can happen to re injure the foot if it isnt healed up good.
I think it is too early, and if they are unsure now, he should not play sunday.

When Dez takes the field for us it will be because the team believes he is ready to contribute. And not a moment sooner.

From what I've read here, the team would trot him out there in a walking boot. Hope they're at least nice enough to cover the fine for the uniform violations.

Double decoy. Have Dez play the role of decoy even though he's healthy. The defense eases up figuring he's not a threat. Halfway through the 4th, unleash Dez.

I'm kidding, of course.

Dez is not a decoy because if he is on the field you need to adjust for him. Even hurt he will have a big day if they do not account for him.
