I wasn’t going to say nothing but I can’t help it…

I put the blame on Coach Zim Defensive Game Plan 432 total Yards on the Dallas Cowboys Defense That’s Crazy..

Coach Zim not playing to the player’s strengths and it’s easy to tell.. Cowboys Defense is at its Best Whenever They are Manning Guys Up..

Running cover 4/3 Sending no pressure (Manning Guys Up) against Speed Wr's will be a disaster every time.

The offense that could only muster 1 TD gets no blame? The defense is an easy one to crap on today, but there were other issues that contributed to the blowout.

I’m not saying zim doesn’t share some blame here but when you give up a 70 yard bomb playing two deep safeties to an offense in max protect how do you fix that? When your middle backer can’t run side to side how do you fix that? When your weak side backer can’t fill what scheme fixes that? When your DTs are pushed back into another zip code I’m not sure it matters if they’re in a 2 or 3 technique.

I think DEs makes a fair point about playing more man coverage but this is the downside when you lose Bland. You now have a rookie on the other side of the field who you don’t want matched up against Olave 1v1. I do hope when bland gets back that I’m plays more aggressive with his secondary as it’s a strength of this defense at full health.

While I’m not going to argue that our D is undermanned, the most frustrating part to me was there didn’t seem to be any attempt at a counter adjustment. Zim was like a boxer just covering up and not attempting to punch back. Blitz, overcrowd the box, mix up coverages…literally do anything. Instead we seemingly just sat there in standard nickel zone and got gashed repeatedly.

Like I care what Dez has to say, this is the same guy who was a cancer on the field and in the locker room......
I never understand how someone who has never sniffed a NFL field can be so dismissive about a former 1st rd pick all pro player ..just because you don't like them. So I guess you think you know better than Dez what the problem was? Not only did he play...he probably has guys on the team he keeps in touch with. I'll take my chances with Dez take on the game.

And that’s somewhat fair. Zim did do some of his AA looks and brought a safety to the box things like that but never really dialed up pressure or got exotic with all the different packages we’ve heard about.

We know its nots all on zim b/c the team's defense melted down under Quinn against GB in much the same style. It's clearly a personnel issue and we didn't do enough in the offseason to fix it b/c Jerry thought the defense just had a bad day. He didn't assume , and never does, a more fundamental problem.

Last week he could walk on water.

This week he is the worst DC in the league.

The truth is probably somewhere in between.

I can't remember the last time I've watched so much base 4-3 from a Cowboys defense, and they still couldn't stop the run.

It's the players. They are overmatched and not nearly as good as advertised. I think we see this on defense when we play the true good teams on par with us on paper.

They do this when they say something they don't want them to say. I heard it all summer long. I don't understand it. Had Mountaineer tell me I don't value my own opinion because I believe someone who actually played the game was more knowledgeable of it.
