The point is, when you search for specific players on the NCAA website, you are lead directly to buying jerseys. Thus, the NCAA is profiting off of the player name. But the player can't do it themselves. That is seriously flawed, imo

And they know it too right after that little fact was tweeted the search function mysteriously disappeared lol

Everything he said was true...He was robbed of those games and that time of his life by a corrupt and greedy company....The NCAA is not an organization. They are a FOR PROFIT BUSINESS...You can add up everything the NCAA does for collegiant athletes and it wouldn't be a 1% of what they make on them.

Why should the people in theNCAA give back anything.

Not in their interest. Keep the $ for themselves and their friends in power.

I like how the NCAA went from an organization focused on the safety of the players to a dag-on organized crime syndacite. The NCAA makes so much money off of college football it's not even funny, but will throw a player out on the streets for minor things and at the same time let worse offenders stay or just give em a slap on the wrist

The NCAA and their rules based around the players status as "student-athletes", a term they created in the midst of a lawsuit btw, is biggest piece of hypocrisy you'll find in sports.

They claim their isn't enough money to pay these players, yet they pocket billions in TV revenue. They claim the players should be satisfied with a free education. But this is a lie as well. Scholarships for players aren't a four year education, they are one year tenders. The NCAA actually demands the schools don't guarantee their free education longer than one year at a time. Often, players in their senior years will have their scholarships snatched away if the school switches to a different coach, and that new coach needs that scholarship for one of his own recruits. What does the player get? An incomplete education, no degree, and no compensation for the money they earned for a tax exempt, "non-profit organization."

This is why they're being hit with multiple class action lawsuits. It's only a matter of time before the NCAA's unconstitutional activities come to an end.

Bryant is right, the NCAA punished Dez for an entire year suspension for eating dinner at Deon Sanders home. On the other hand how can you say what to do with someones own name...it's 2 AM...

They didn't punish Dez for eating dinner at Deion's home. They punished him for lying about it. However, I believe the punishment was too harsh. One game, maybe. But if he didn't commit a violation, why make the lying more punishable than an actual wrongdoing?
