Dez Bryant told reporters after the game that his 3rd and 4 drop was unacceptable. He said "I took my eyes off the ball," he explained. I shouldn't have done that. My standards are real high about catching the football. One drop is too many."

This was from NFL east blogger Dan Graziano and he said that Bryant has the right attitude for this and that he did not shrug it off like it was just a preason game. Graziano reported that this should be encouraging to Cowboys fan and how serious Dez is taken football.

Didn't Roy laugh after his drops? I remember Shockey did that all the time too on the Giants, it annoyed me then and I hate the Giants.

By now, I doubt that the average Cowboys fan is unaware of how serious Bryant is about his game. The young man has repeatedly made awe-inspiring catches during practice alone.

A receiver would not devote that much attention to detail unless he was dead serious about hauling in passes. Now, if bloggers and the like wish to 'up the confidence' of fans' projections of Bryant's potential, they should concentrate on reporting his evolving dedication towards running proper routes. That may well be the only questionable flaw in his game.

Yeah....don't recall EVER thinking....."hey this Bryant guy doesn't seem to care much about football".

Honestly not even concerned about that dropped pass. Bryant has not given any indications be it in college or last season that he has an issue with dropping passes.

The person I am tired off is Bennett. There was the bootleg play where Romo put it right in his hands.I just cannot forgive this guy.If we got offers for him a couple of years ago we should have taken them.If we cut RW we should send this guy packing. He's had more than enough time here.

Dez dropped four balls during that game? When did that happen?

He is saying that the drop was on 3rd down and 4 yards to go was unacceptable -- not that his 3rd and 4th dropped passes were unacceptable. I almost read it that way too.

Ah jeez. My bad.

When he dropped that I was like :eeeek:

You know you have a special player when that happens.

Yeah, he was hyped up. Trying to do too much. He wanted to take that pass and make a big run. Hopefully it will not be a trend, I don't think it will.

He is by far the least of my worries.

His route running needs to improve but it's not a major concern...
