I didn't realize he wasn't close to him at all. Regardless, has to hurt like hell.

Part of his pain might be that they weren't close. Dez had such a tough upbringing.

He had a very difficult upbringing. Dez has overcome a lot throughout his life and its sad that so many people associated with the league have wasted so much energy trying to disparage the guy. He plays with as much heart as anyone I've ever seen.

It's trite, but time heals all wounds... and their relationship probably was non-existent for many years. Doesn't mean they never reconciled as evidenced by that picture.

It certainly is. I see it all the time. My original post stated I wasn't aware they hadn't been close. As in, it was news to me. Thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family.
