Lost my dad in January. My heart goes out to Dez. Keep your chin up. kiddo.
Sorry for your loss TD
Part of his pain might be that they weren't close. Dez had such a tough upbringing."Bryant's relationship with his father has been described as distant and non-existent. The cause of death and Hatton's age are not known at this time."
I didn't realize he wasn't close to him at all. Regardless, has to hurt like hell.
It's trite, but time heals all wounds... and their relationship probably was non-existent for many years. Doesn't mean they never reconciled as evidenced by that picture.I hear you. Except. He said it himself. Not down playing it. Dez said it himself for years. And like I said, still has to hurt like hell.

I only tagged you to show a different view, not really to debate the status of his relationship. It's a tough deal all around when someone passes.
Really cant wait for the locker room speech to be uploaded.Dallas Cowboys Verified account @dallascowboys
Dez receiving the game ball from Coach Garrett. #DALvsPIT
I think if you know Dez's full story, you wouldn't be surprised at Dez's dad ageI though his dad would be a lot...um, younger.
Condolences to Dez and his family.
With that said....
Was there even a mention of it during the game? Meanwhile, when Favre lost his dad, it was treated like a national day of grieving.
