Hey guys, just a quick question for the board. Which records if any can Dez break this year. I understand that if he gets 4 touchdowns in his first 4 games he ties Randy Moss for quickest to 60? Also, if he gets 10 TDs this season, he ties Jerry Rice for most touchdowns in a 5 years span. Correct me if im wrong please

Rice had 77 touchdowns in his first 6 years in the league, Moss had 77. Dez "only" has 56 TDs on his first five years so he'd need a ridiculous year to catch either of the two. Through their first 5 years Rice had 66 scores and Moss 60.

Rice had 66 TDs after 5 seasons. Bryant has 56 TDs after 5 seasons.

I am guessing you are looking at games and not seasons? If so you'll also need to consider Gronk who has averaged more TDs per game than Dez since they they were both drafted in 2010.

Ah ok, so Dez only has franchise records to break then? Ok nevermind was going to write an article based on him breaking some records this year. Guess thats out. Thanks

If Dez simply performs to a level equal to his averages over the last three years, he will become only the third WR with 400+ catches, 6000+ yards, 70+ TD in his first six seasons.

Moss 1998-2003 525 rec 8375 yd 77 TD
Rice 1985-1990 446 rec 7866 yd 79 TD
Bryant 2010-2015 472 rec 6736 yd 70 TD

I think many of dez td's have been the short variety, like the 1-2 yard back shoulder fade.
Rice and moss caught more long distance TD's, and more yards after catch.
