Don't know if this has been covered but just read a mock by Pat Kirwan on NFL.com and he had him falling to us at 27. What do you think? Obviously, we are getting some value here but do we need him?

I know him but to better illustrate I went and watched some youtube videos of him. One thing that concerns me is more than 50 percent of his catches seem to be jump balls. Unless your Randy Moss your not going to win alot of those in the NFL. Just look at Calvin Johnson. To me he looks like a faster Roy Williams. Opinions

I dont think we need a WR with our pick at 27.

That being said, if he's there you'd be a fool not to draft him...unless someone like Earl Thomas or another high pick falls to us.

I would love it if Bryant slipped to us because then in a year or two we have Austin and Bryant lining up on the outside.

What about Calvin Johnson?

Yeah Calvin still wins the majority of jump balls. And IMO we need a jump ball receiver. I thought Roy brought that to the table, but he hasn't done it once with us.

Calvin didn't come into the league and do a Randy Moss. He's what 6 5 235 and he can't win the jump ball in the NFL, guys are too athletic. I was just saying if he couldn't do it I don't think Bryant can. It wasn't a slight but moreso a credit to the leagues talented athletes. When healthy Calvin Johnson is a bad boy.

Dez looks like a T.O. clone to me playing wise. i've heard he's got off field issues but I don't know what to believe regarding that. it would be nice to have a replacement after Roy flops again next season.

Romo won't throw jump balls. If he did Roy and Austin both could pull them down.

I agree on both items.

As for Dez and the jump balls...he is not necessarily a jump ball reciever, but those types of catches tend to make it on utube. If you've watched him over the years you know he's much more than a jump-ball guy (he just has the ability to do it well).
However two of the best receivers in the league--Fitzgerald and Cal Johnson are pretty good jump-ballers.
