In case you missed it, during Dez' tirade against Cassel in the second quarter, Dez sat down on the bench and took his cleats off.

Teammates had to calm him down and get him to put his shoes back on.

That happened.

Dez had this odd smily look of inner peace throughout the end of the game. I actually liked it. And he did step up big. I think Cassel will look to him more now which should appease Dez.

Can you imagine to media roar if his teammates let him along and he sat out the 2nd half refusing to play?

Although it's childish to throw sandbox tantrums, Dez was going to put the cleats back on regardless because he loves the game that much, and it's a reaction of the moment. Nonetheless there's absolutely no excuse as to why Dez is not getting jump balls or throws in single coverage against a WR that recently converted to CB. Our offensive system is not exploiting Dez's talent.

It's not just Dez. Cassel can't seem to hit Beasley either, for some reason. Until this week, he was having issues with Williams, too. I was surprised to see him have success throwing at Breeland last night.

I'd keep throwing it to Witten at 8 yards a clip until he drops one, personally. Nobody can stop it, and Cassel doesn't seem to throw picks on those routes. Dez can keep the shoes on just to demand the coverage.

I'm getting sick and tired of his crap. If he is gonna throw a fit about not getting the ball enough, he should probably make sure he catches it in crucial situations (e.g., Tampa).

I wish Dez would finally grow up, I didn't see that incident during the game, but I noticed at the end of the game how calm and smiley he was and thought to myself now that is much better Dez. Then I find out today he did this cleat thing.

Dez need to have full weeks of practice and even put in extra time after practice with Cassel. He has missed alot of practice and over the past few weeks and him ad Cassel need that time to gel.

Beasley screwed up that last throw. Cassel read that blitz and play correctly, Beasley went too deep in his route.

I don't care if Dez took off his cleats. And I don't care what reporters say about Dez because they have been terribly inaccurate in their reports about him, just like they claimed that Dez was yelling at Romo in the Lions game when the video showed something completely different. They have an obsession with the guy and have stooped to the lowest level of 'journalism' to make a story out of him.

He changed cleats after taking off the ones he had on, according to Archer, who also noted it might have just been a comfort thing. Perhaps it's kinda easy to misread such things.

Dez surely isn't the only WR to get huffy after being overlooked, though. Michael Irvin did it all the time way back when. So have many others. WRs are often a temperamental lot.

It reminds me of the Seattle playoff game when Parcells refused to attack Pete Hunter, a player who we not only knew because he was a former Cowboy but one who as licking stamps and mailing letters prior to being signed to play corner for the Seahawks.

That's the ONE time where I disagree with Parcells' strategy and his handling of Romo.

Ehhh....I can't say anything on this one. I didn't see it and it appears that he was changing cleats, according to Archer, so I don't know if it's a situation where he was throwing a fit and was going to refuse to go back in (Which does seem doubtful) or if he was simply taking them off to change them but it happened during him exploding over Cassel missing him while he was wide open for what likely would have been a TD, but at the very least a first down.
