He's like TO except not as dominant. And both had stone hands often. Dez is great near the endzone but outside of that, leaves some to be desired for me. Just something missing compared to the other top WRs. I never viewed him as one of the top WRs. Too often he is taken out of games and disappears. That could also be due to poor coaching, though.

Man if you don't take that stuff on somewhere. A non-top receiver leading the league in tds in 2014? Right.

I'm going to wait for Dez to prove it. I know he's been great before, but you never know what injury or situation is going to push a player off a cliff.

Robinson ahead of Bryant is incredibly premature

Cant really fault the more established WR's as last year was a lost season for Bryant

The fact they still haven't figured out how to move Dez around to get better mismatches just boggles my mind. I blame coaching for a lot of things, ESPECIALLY last season.

I agree, I think lining him up in the backfield like GB did cobb would be good, because a LB might wind up having to cover him, or a lesser
db. That would be a mismatch.

Dez has to prove that he's the same guy after a foot injury that has ruined others.

I am confident he will.

Agreed TO was a monster. 2nd in total receiving yards all time. He's a HOFer.

Antonio Brown
Julio Jones
OBJ
Deandre Hopkins
Dez/ Allen Robinson
AJ Green
Demaryius Thomas
Jordy Nelson
Brandon Marshall
Fitzgerald

There's a bunch out there.

A recent Broaddus tweet made me wonder a bit. Someone made mention of a possible loss of speed and quickness on Bryant's part and Broaddus said he wouldn't disagree with it thus far.

I'm curious to see if it's a temporary thing and just knocking off some rust, or something to be legitimately concerned about.

I'm more concerned with you listening to Broaddus.

Antonio Brown, Julio Jones, Odell Beckham Jr., A.J. Green, Brandon Marshall, Larry Fitzgerald and Allen Robinson all ranked ahead of Bryant, who came in at No. 51 overall, on this year's annual Top 100 Players list.

That list, which is compiled by player voting, had Bryant ranked 15th overall after the 2014 season.

"There's only one thing I got to go out there and do, that's go out there and be D, be me," Bryant said Wednesday during an interview with Michael Irvin for the NFL Network. "I love Antonio Brown. I love Julio Jones. I love Odell Beckham. I put myself up there with those guys as well.

"But it's not all about me sitting here talking, I'm just going to go out there and show them. That's something I'm real damn good at doing."

So Dez's play may be off, but his ego is in top form !!
Now if he can just get his play up to his ego level that would be a good deal !

Still waiting for that 2,000-yard season, Mr. Legend in your own mind. You might one day be our next Golden Richards.

Sorry but that is extremely inaccurate.

Dez has much better hands, is more acrobatic, has better ball tracking skills, and is physically tougher/stronger.

TO had better all around speed and route running ability.

TO is the superior receiver and these guys don't have much in common outside of similar height/weight.

One thing people seem to forget is that Dez had the most reliable hands in the NFL up until the finger break in 2012 right as he was breaking out as a top WR. It wasn't a big deal at the time and it may not be a big deal now, but it's curious how that coincides.

He should fall, he's barely a top ten WR right now, too inconsistent.

He had an injury riddled season. Prior to that he had virtually identical numbers for three straight years. What are all you ****** canoes going to do when injuries aren't there for you to ignore so you can bash the team?

I've always thought that he dropped too many passes that elite WR's catch, he also disappears for entire halves, sometimes entire games.

The fact that he disappears for halves is widely attributed to the Cowboys scheme.

The Cowboys are happy to run him on a nine route into the teeth of bracket coverage a good majority of plays so that everything else can be freed up.

I think if you're looking at his body of work from 2012-2014, it's impossible not to have him in the top 5-7.

Especially considering how transient that list of top WRs is.

It's easy to be more critical about a WR that you watch every week, so I get the criticism.

But I would challenge you to name better WRs and not find similar faults.

Well have to say in PS game 1 dez looked like the 2014 dez , so that is good.
The only thing was the td catch he didnt come up with the ball, so I wonder if he learned anything from "the catch"
I thought that might be ruled a non catch too. It was ruled a catch, but would like to see him not let go of it so soon.

I thought that one was less of a catch than the other one. Then that referee goes into the booth to try to explain things. They all need to shut up. Nobody knows what a catch is. They make it up as they go along.

yeah the announcers didnt know if it was a catch or not lol.
thing is the ball was I think knocked out as he was down, I thought he just let go of it, but then on one replay I saw the def punch at it.
Dez was also extending again.
But at least he is catching them again.
