OXNARD, Calif. -- Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant is expected to miss his fourth consecutive day of practice Tuesday because of a sore hip.

Bryant has done some light work during morning walk-through practices the past few days, but he was a spectator during the afternoon sessions.

Bryant hates missing practice, but the team is keeping him out anyway as a precaution.

"That could be a good thing for someone like Dez and Miles (Austin), who run a lot," quarterback Tony Romo said about Bryant's absence from practice. "We put a big emphasis on running and really running a lot more than most teams do at the wide receiver position. Both guys do it and push themselves every single day; it's not easy. I think it can be a good thing for them to get their legs back for a day or two, and then they can push it again. In Dez's case, I think he has some soreness. It will be a couple-of-days thing, so I think he'll be fine."

Team officials say no worries, which I agree. But being a huge Dez fan, I'm super paranoid especially with all these other teams having star players go down for the entire year and there hasn't been one preseason snap yet.

I will be worried when DEZ says he has a problem. Until that happens its not an issue. This dude is a tough SOB.

must be a lot of ulcers going around, Tony, Tyron, oh yeah and all the tight ends.

If he still isn't getting reps in practice by the HOF game, I'll be concerned.

I hope everbodys sore. Tear em down n build em back up.

They might even be intentionally getting some snaps for other WRs, knowing Dez is well on track for the regular season and with some crowding at that position group.

The same thing for Tony sitting out today on what was, essentially, goal line practices. If they're going to be looking at QB3 and QB4, they might as well give them some reps with the 2s and 3s during the week leading up to the game, and give Tony his vet days early in camp as we ramp him up later in the month.

When I do not see him on the field on September 8, then I will be concerned.

Exactly ! He is one of the few players we can't afford to lose for the season. He practices likes he plays and I wouldn't care if I didn't see him the whole preseason.

Nah, "sore" hip. Probably sore from all those dirty grabs during practice. He'll be fine
