I heard that it's similar to a bone bruise in that he probably only will miss a week or two and the risk for further injury is negligible.

So someone who hasn't seen the xrays or the mri is giving us this diagnosis? Not saying it is or isn't a fracture or a bone bruise, but for someone who hasn't seen the data to comment with any degree of certainty is laughable and obviously meant just for clicks.

One of my players had a very similar injury last week, Dr. Told us he was day to day or week to week depending on his pain tolerance. He was injured on Friday night, he sat out on Monday, practiced without pads on Tuesday and Wednesday and full pads on Thursday. Fortunately we had a bye this Friday, but he is full go for tomorrow's practice. BTW, he is a receiver/RB. I have a feeling that Dez will play today, if they allow him to.

The report is that the source did see the MRI/XRAYs. Per Rappaport.

As always it seems there is murkiness around injured cowboy players. It would be nice if we only had a single voice reporting these things

Deactivate him for half the season.

His head is all wrong.

Make him earn the right to play with the star on his helmet.

Thankfully the team doesn't actually do ridiculous, boneheaded things like this.

2-1, several other significant players already out or playing injured, so let's just deactivate one of our best weapons for half the season. Yea that makes a lot of sense. I'm sure that'd do a whole lot of good.

Hes traveling with the team this week. If he hasnt already been rules out I think he lobbies coaches to play today.

It doesn't based on the football doc on the twitter. Bone bruise and hairline fractures are treated very similar.

Either way, he's not playing today.

Good source. I would think Bone bruise carries less risk of further injury though.

Yeah.. As he explained it, it depends on the placement on the fracture. But the treatment seems to be the same. So most players with this sit out at least a week.

I think we can handle 9ers without him and although no one would admit it thats another reason to rest him. The Bengals however, its gonna have to be all hands on deck.

Edit: Also bet Dez is conspiring with Witten to give the "navy seal" speech on why he should play lol.
