How about the effect dez had on ny punts n the gm...... They were scared to death of punting him the ball, but for good reason too......

Loved that, too. But, I have to admit that I'm wary of risking Dez on punt returns. The guy is just too damn valuable.

And he was letting them know about it. I love this guys energy. He really is the catalyst this team has needed.

Love it. They're so worried about punting to him that they shanked punts, haha.

He's dangerous, though. Has a chance to break one every time he touches the ball. Offensive Rookie of the Year for sure.

He looks like a created player on Madden when he is out there too.

So much bigger than everyone with agility.

Not me. Points are points. If you can get then from the return game then so be it. You can't be afraid to use the weapons that you have at you're disposal.

Exactly. I don't know how many yards he got on returns but I bet he was worth at least 50 in punts out of bounds!

Dez is a big dude. He's not going to get injured returning 4 or 5 punts a game. Not using him is like saying we're good enough to win without using our best weapons in every phase of the game, and that is arrogant and also incorrect.

Ahmad Bradshaw weights about 20 pounds less than Dez and touches it a lot more times while also getting tackled by bigger guys. Guys don't just instantly get injured just because they're tackled.

Seems to me someone like Ogletree could do this....Dez is the man..don't want to get him hurt by some special teams wack job.

Dez does it because he is damn good at it. Some guys have the knack to make big returns some don't.

Special teams have cost us 2 games this year. U got a weapon in Dez, I say play the guy.

Also I noticed BUEHLER in on the tackle at the 40 yard line again.
They must hold him back as the last line of defense because he always seems to stop them at the 40 something.

He looks like the fox robot just tossing grown men aside and running by them

I'm sorry. I love Dez but Bradford has that particular award locked up. Tell me the Rams would be competing for division lead without him.

I agree that Bradford has the inside track on the rookie of the year but I think Dez will at least make it close.

Bradford has like a 78 QB rating right now. Sure he's playing pretty well for a rookie, but if they end up like 6 and 10 or even 7 and 9, he throws 20 TDs/20 ints, and Dez scores double digit TDs then Dez is going to win that award.

Well, his combination of SIZE/STRENGTH/ & SPEED, his agility and balance, with strong hands and the awereness, he's like a machine.

This is who you create when you're creating players on Madden. Okay maybe not, nothing better than a 400 pounder who has 4.2 speed, agile and about 6'9.

I doubt it. Remember, Dez will have done that for a team that's likely to end up 4-12 or 5-11 as well.

He'll get some votes - and deserve them. But Bradford has been too efficient and effective in contributing to the turnaround in St. Louis. As beastly as Dez has been, my vote would go to Sam.
