I haven't seen the footage but as I understand it I heard Dez really took it personally and told the Cowboys they would be facing him twice next year. Has anyone heard anything relative to this? It sounds like Dez didn't see this coming at all.

Maybe the Cowboys knew they were cutting him all along and floated the stuff out there to get Dez acclimated to the idea prior to cutting him? Maybe he is more unstable than any of us realized?

This is where he needs really good representation, and he doesn't have it. They're nowhere to be found, and he's hurt and emotional right now.

I'm concerned for him. He's going to go on interviews and say a bunch of stupid, emotional things, and he's going to hurt his marketability.

He's a good kid deep down, but he doesn't handle stuff like this well.

I'd be pissed too. No biggie, stuff happens.

That would be expected. He's a mental midget. He's going to handle it like a child.

He'll be all rejuvenated for a little while looking to get back at the Cowboys and then he'll revert to the same declining head case hurting his own football team.

Yeah. I don't blame Dez for being upset. He just left the most visible franchise in America.

But if he is melting down it might cost him some money in free agency.

Yup, he said if he lost his edge, he's found it now.

REALLY? You mean $12mm didn't give him the edge he needed?

He is such a professional.

I think Dez was shocked at the news. He more than likely felt like he messed up somewhere along the lines so the statement is like saying “I am going to prove to y’all that I am not as bad as y’all think I am.”

When I worked for the eye bank I would have families call me to apologize sometimes cause when I called to ask for permission to remove the corneas which was literally about an hour or so after the passing they would say stuff that was maybe out of line but I understood cause they were in a different state of mind.

He said that? Geez... This guy.
He "bleeds blue and silver" but he lost his "edge" for the team, but now that they kicked him to the curb?
The "edge" is back. Guess he'll bleed whatever colors he wears next for... who knows a season? 8 Games? 20 minutes?

He got comfortable at the country club. Felt entitled.

I have to laugh at the reaction of most fans. This is a very good thing for the team. Are you a Prescott fan? This helps him. No question about it. The Cowboys are trying to revamp their WR corp with ascending talent and less distraction. I don't mean with the FA signings this year but what I expect them to do in the next couple of drafts.

I applaud them for it.

No surprise hearing that NOW.......he's disappointed and hurt. Happens to lot players but by the time the actual game emotions and feelings have toned down quite a bit.
