This just scares the crap out of me. So far in his short career, he has not been the healthiest player and returning punts can be dangerous. I would much prefer he not do this unless we just absolutely have to score late in a game to win. He is TOO valuable the the offense to lose him.

Dez returning punts is a good thing, didnt he take 2 to the house last year?

He plays reckless and is as likely to get hurt celebrating as he is returning punts. Let him at least do some good with the ball before getting hurt the next time.

I did not say he wasn't good at, I just think it exposes him to injury. His injury track record is not too good so far.

If it comes down to that teams wont kick to him.

I wonder if Felix can start returning kicks again, when he returns?

I'm okay with Dez returning punts but not kickoffs.

His leg injury on the last punt return was a fluke - helmet into the thigh as he was about to step out.

I think he will always be at risk of injury but I don't think it will be much higher returning punts than playing WR.

It was knee to the thigh as he slid and was still in bounds.

It might help him keep his focus through out the game. Deion returned punts as the #1 CB. I have no problem with him doing it. He's probably the best punt returner on the team.

I saw one of the coaches giving Dez a good talking to after that one catch where he was spinning around like crazy fighting for extra yards with a defender draped on his legs. Perhaps, the coach told him to protect himself and just go down next time. Dez seemed to shake his head to indicate he understood.

I stand corrected - knee to thigh.

Still a bit of a fluke injury and unlikely to happen again.

I saw that too and I was thinking the same thing.

He might be the best punt returner in the league based on what he did last year.

Freakish for sure. I want to see Dez out there on punts.

I see both sides. If it were up to me, I probably wouldn't have him do it, but it doesn't really bother me that much.

Dez just needs to learn when to go down instead of risking injury and fumbles.

I'd rather have someone else returning them, myself too. Jason Sehorn always pops in my head when I see starters returning punts.
