DEZ rookie highlight vid

I posted this many months ago. It's every single catch he made in his first game vs the Skins.

The one thing that awes me about Dez Bryant and Miles Austin is that they are both tall and powerful wide receivers, but what makes Bryant's a touch more danger is his insane ability to catch practically any pass thrown near him. There may presently be some doubt of which NFC East has the best wide receiver duo, but one full season with Romo behind center should remove all doubt.

Plus, I gotta say cowboys#1, that is one kick*** signature image. :)

I was thinking about starting a purely football Dez thread with two questions for the board:

1) What did you see in Dez last year? Strengths, weaknesses.
2) What do you see for Dez?

I saw the best Cowboy rookie receiver in my 30 plus years following the team.

Ball skills and hands are off the chart. Reminds me of Moss 98 a little in that area.

His size, strength, ability to and desire to go get the ball make throwing it to him such a safe bet. I believe we'll see very few passes directed his way going for interceptions.

The other thing that just jumps out at me is his tackle breaking ability. He breaks as many tackles as any WR I've seen.

And he plays bigger than he is. I think he's listed at shade under 6-3 and 220-225lbs. Now that's great size, but certainly not rare. Plenty of taller WRs out their and a few packing on more lbs.

IDK - It must be the combo of strength, large hands, long arms and great ball skills that allow him to play much bigger than his listed size. He just looks like a beast out there.

guy looks like he came out of the womb with his skills, looks so natural and effortless... dude is a straight beast.

You think the Giants are excited to see him again this year?

Best rookie WR I have since Fitz.

If he aint fast and quick, there's a whole lot of slow mofos in the league now days.

Indeed. I don't what his forty time was, but on the field he looks faster than most.

Has the talent and physical gifts to be one of the very best ever.

Dude is unbelievable and he's just getting started. AWESOME!!!

A while back someone posted EVERY catch he had his rookie year, anyone know where that video might be?

You just gave me goose bumps with that comment, Hos. Dez did all of that damage last year without much training camp. Just wait until next year. No rust from missing a ton of action and he is coming in healthy.

OT, but I love the Tyron Smith pick even more. Romo is an elite QB when he has time to throw. Smith will help solidify our aging line and give Romo time to do what he does best. As a result, I can see Dez and Austin being Rice/Taylor-esque this year. :D

Simply phenomenal hands, playing speed, football instincts and vision.

I've never quite seen a guy with all of those strengths rolled into one. If he keeps his head on right, he will be a once in a generation type of player.

He's going to flat-out scare defenses starting this season. He is a game breaker. A game changer. A difference maker.

He's the type of player that can carry a team to a championship.

I remember that Giants game when Gruden was drooling over Dez's ability, it brought a smile to my face :)

Our offense will be scary this year.

The scary thing is he is still learning the system.

I think it is pretty cool how he mimics Irvin's first down signal sometimes. He brings a swagger and energy that Irvin had that has been sorely missed.

Just imagine if Romo actually has time to throw the ball.
