As noted multiple places, San Fran played more man than they typically do and we had no answer. First and foremost, that falls on the coaches to adapt in real time. They did not. Dak also needs to take advantage of the times they had man beat. There were a few instances and he just failed.

As I said, the offense is a multi-pronged problem. And I can't see how it gets fixed the rest of this season. If this team wants to win games, they are going to have to limit turnovers on offense, hope the D plays stout and win games 24-20, 20-17...............
I never wanted to join the “never until Jerry is dead” crowd, but it’s probably true.

What kind of coach is he going to allow here? What good coach is going to agree to the constant undermining and radio shows?

Even if a miracle happens and he nails that, still need the QB.

Jerry is gonna play it safe, continue to make money, and continue to lose.

The GMs of most of the top teams in the league have been super aggressive at trading first rounders, trading their own top guys and acquiring others. We use a first rounder to plug the top hole from the year before and call it an off-season.

The only time Jerry had any success, the team he just bought happened to have the top pick, and there happened to be a future HOF QB sitting there.

The future HOF HC also happened to be an acquaintance.

Jerry built literally nothing ever and there’s no reason to think miracles are going to happen suddenly.

But he is going to die trying and the fans pay the price.

This point was made by someone on Twitter last year so I can't take credit for it, but the fact the owner is the GM hinders coaching searches in another way.

If something goes wrong in Dallas, the HC is always going to be the scapegoat. The GM will never be made the fall guy because he's the owner. So the buck will never stop with him whereas in other places, the HC can survive while the GM does not. It just happened in Tennessee with the GM of the Titans getting canned last year and Vrabel surviving.

There is no chance of a coach here getting a fair shake over the GM because the GM ain't firing himself. We have such a dysfunctional set up and it isn;'t changing under Stephen.

All you guys who want KM back must still want Dak to be the QB. KM's offense was tops in scoring and redzone efficiency only when Dak was the QB. LOL.

...you have to give Dez props. He was around football for good while.

It probably makes sense. Part of disguise, that you run same formation but different play.

Dez makes a remark about “predictability” as regards to the offense throwing from under shotgun, but not running. While the case of predictability is obvious, Dez puts it on the coaching and says “Shanahan is the truth”.

The problem with the argument, as @Hadenough and myself pointed out. Dak can’t throw consistently from underneath center. He had problem seeing the field, so he has to throw from shotgun all the time. So Dez is right to a large degree in his observation, but he’s wrong as for the reason for why the numbers actually support this lack of predictability.

As I’ve done many times before, the work by C. Joseph Wright from the end of the 2019 season details this problem.

The main point is it is the limitations of Dak throwing a traditional 3-5 step drop back, let alone 7, that makes the play-calling limited in whether they call run or pass.

this is right in line with what Whitner said the other day

the Cowboys are basically dumbing down and limiting the offense to provide cover for Dak's deficiencies.
other teams know it and it makes any the job much easier for any defense that is average or above

All you gotta do is go back and watch the Kurt Warner study ball videos from last year. He had no answers for why we did the things that we did. The only explanation he had was that it was all that we could ask of our quarterback. Dak no longer runs with the ball. The O line is vastly over rated. Our options are simple and easy to defend. The end result speaks for itself.

Is it too late to get KMoore back?

cause we were wrong.
What do you mean "We" I always blamed Dak . . . With every Escape Goat I put the blame at His Feet

Now they are blaming Mike for Dak and I put the blame right back on Dak

100%

Unfortunately, this is what “Dak friendly” requires the offense to be. So frustrating
