Imagine this match-up... just not WR vs CB... but punt returning (if the Boys need Dez there?) This is going to be exciting! GO COWBOYS!! :star:

Pretty much mirror images of each other on opposites sides of the ball.

We better kick completely away from Peterson. Out of bounds.

Never let him touch the ball on a punt return, for any reason.

PP is having a great year returning punts. His coverage has been very suspect and Dez or Robison will burn him easily. Wilson has to cover Witten and that heavily favors us. Wilson might pop someone but he can't cover a piece of wood.

Dez is a much better receiver than Peterson is a corner right now. Peterson has really struggled in coverage this season.

I haven't had a chance to watch Peterson playing corner at all this season.

The one game I did he was getting burnt pretty good, though that was a game earlier in the season so he might have improved by now.

how many td returns will he have against our sorry coverage team?
scary.

Peterson has four punt return touchdowns. That's amazing for a rookie. That's tied for the most in one season EVER. We better NOT kick to him.

Well with our injured McBrair kicking the ball regularly 35 yards and out of bounds, Patterson probably want get to return many.

You know what's funny? The players that kill us are the ones that aren't suppose to and the guys that are suppose to don't do anything. Anyone remember how much we feared Welker and Tom Brady?

Umm Brady did kill us on the last drive.

If Dez was productive in the 4th quarters more often, I might actually think this is an advantage. I think we sometimes treat the potential of Dez as if it's reality. So far, he's not even close to a threat. He is currently averaging 3.8 catches/game.

He did. But if you would've told me Brady would struggle through 4 quarters and pull the win out in the clutch I would've been shocked. He had a poor game but a solid comeback.

He's struggled. Don't know why they don't have him at safety.
Because you don't draft one of the best corner prospects in years in the top 10 and then move him to safety before he ever plays a snap...

8 PDs, 2 INTs, 40+ tackles.

He's not exactly playing with any decent safety help over the top.

In terms of catches and yards given up he is one of the worst in the NFL thus far. He'll get better, but without his return abilities his rookie season would qualify as a dissapointment.

For reference, Peterson has been roughly the same statistically in coverage as Alan Ball this season. Ball is actually giving up fewer yards per completion, which is hard to believe.
