Minus all the hoopla, was that fun or what. Two quality players going heads up. I call it a draw. Dez early, Peterson in the middle/slightly end and Dez at the end. Peterson is the real deal. I wouldn't be suprised he's up with Revis next season. What was your non-homer take. opinions

No one has said much about it except me. I thoroughly enjoyed watching both of them the entire game.

I wonder why he has 11 Passes Defended then? 4 more than any player on our team BTW.

he still gets abused on game day. He gets thrown at alot. Do you consider deangelo hall a great corner than? he has lots of pass deflects.

Touche'.

I consider Peterson someone who can reach Revis' level, and always have. I see a lot of Cardinals games living in AZ. I do not agree with the perception that he is no good. He is being attacked because he is a rookie. When he turns those PDs into INTs and even Pick 6's teams will stop.

That is the name of the game. Hall has always been targeted, so no I do not consider him a great corner. He can burn you. Last year (I think) he got us.

I do not put them in the same category as far as talent. But on the stat I preached you whipped me.

yeah he can reach revis level if the refs allow him to pull, tug, hold, and basically manhandle the wr after 5 yards. I see this almost every jets game. Its like the refs just let it go because its revis. I guess that is what they call revis island, He makes up the rules.

I think you might be wrong because Micheal Lombardi said he would put him on the ALL PRO team and not for his kick returning.

Reminded me of Michael Irvin going against the Aeneas Williams (what a great cover corner who might someday land in Canton)...

It was a good battle. Dez edged him out but there was nothing wrong with PP's performance. He did a solid job throughout but Dez got the better of him, which is expected since he's got just a little more experience right now. While both are still raw, Dez used his slight experience advantage to get open underneath to move the chains. PP had him on the vertical routes but that's expected since PP is faster and for a young CB with his athleticism, it's a lot easier for him to cover those routes.

Great matchup, I really wanted Peterson here to be our Dez of the defense, but I can't help it, I'm greedy.

The main takeaways from me were that Dez has a lot of work to do as far as technique, and that Peterson has amazing make up speed. Whether Peterson is the real deal or not, I have no idea. He's a rookie. I still don't know what we're going to get with Dez either, but I can't wait to find out.
