I am not a "sign this guy!" type, just because a player gets cut...

However I would be highly upset if the Cowboys didn't at least take a look at Briscoe. I'm on board for Briscoe. I like this one.

He'd be a perfect #3!

Greg Schiano is dumping off some of the Morris guys. He's not particularly fond of Blount either.
Briscoe did miss VOLUNTARY workouts, but there's a reason for that:

"As far as me not being at camp. There are personal reasons. I love my teammates and I'll be back at workouts Monday. . . Everyone that knows me know I'm a team player till I die. No individuals."

Didn't Dez have a some off the field issues at KU? He really hasn't done too much in the NFL. Cut by the Benglas and now the Bucs.

Obviously his reasons for missing OTA's was not good enough for his coach.

He is not a guy you have to sign of even have to take a look into. If Dallas does, it wouldn't hurt, but he is not a priority.

Publicly, coach Greg Schiano did not rant and rave about Briscoe’s absence, though he did confirm the third-year player was not here. “The deal is, this is voluntary,” Schiano said. “I had people check to make sure he was okay. There are issues sometimes. I understand that. I don’t spend a lot of time focusing on the guys who aren’t here."

TB seems to have a lot of WRs, I wouldn't look too much into it. It'd be different if there were reports coming out. Nothing so far.

He is only 22 and his last season number were 35 catches, 387 yards, 6 TDs so I think he is worth a look.

Briscoe was never on the Bengals. He got drafted by the Bucs in 2010.

Played in 2 games in 2010, caught 1 TD. Played in all 16 last year and caught 35 balls for 387 and 6 TDs. 20/35 catches went for 1st downs.

Id kick the tires a bit on him..

Not necessarily. Laurent Robinson went to camp with the Chargers, and Garrett and Turner run the same offense. It's not entirely the case here.

Actually he was drafted by the Bengals in 2010, pick 191 in round 6. He was cut on the final cuts day before that season started and debuted with the Bucs later that season. However, that said it might not be bad to kick the tires with him

Great stats at Kansas--31 tds/ 37 gms. Avg'd over 1000 yds for 3 seasons. Against Oklahoma had 259 yds in one game. Many many 100 yd games. One arrest for shoplifting at 17. Supposedly missed Bucs 2011 mini camp because of a girl?? College and Pro videos looked great. Great size 6' 2", 220 lbs.


To me he looked as good and probably better than Josh Gordon. Yes this could be our next L. Robinson.

Not sure about his off field issues.

FO needs to strongly consider bringing him in for a look unless they find something seriously wrong with his make up.

He won't last long. Probably picked up off waivers sometime Friday.

If we don't sign him or claim him, that's fine... But if it's because they didn't even bother to truly look at him, that's what would upset me.

There's too much talent out there to sometimes just give a flat out no. I'm still curious to see the reason he got cut. Maybe he failed a physical? I can deal with that. If its more serious and the Cowboys pass, that I can understand.

Like that he can play the slot, is willing to make the tough catches in traffic, is definitely a red zone threat and I like when I see him on the edges too.

Can bunch him and Miles with Witten and you wouldn't know who's going to hit the slot or the edge because they can do both.

Not going to voluntary workouts because of a chick is no good if that's why.

Bucs had a very young and immature team, especially on offense.

Guys like Miles, who dated the ultimate female nightmare (Kim Kardashian) and Jason Witten would have him here working over chasing some tail.

Our WR's coach is probably the best in the league.

Ok. Good news, kinda. He wasn't cut for anything bad... or "major."
He just didn't pass the Bucs conditioning test.

Not that that's great, it's just not a crime.
If he can pass ours, I'm all for him coming here.
