Dez's Unprofessional Comments

If it was just about money and production they would have offered him a paycut to keep him around. They wanted him out of the locker room because he questioned the coaches and captains leadership.

It's funny too because most everyone here does the same thing.
Lol. That's why I can't blame him for calling out the coaches or the captains. This team has such a weak culture and pop warner attitude he was the one guy I know would do absolutely anything for the team to win. Unfortunately he just isn't the same wr anymore. But would still be an upgrade over TWill as the #2

It's obvious the FO and coaches has no clue what they are doing as far as fielding a successful football team. So no one has a right to question that cluelessness?

I don't blame Dez for being upset about being cut if his heart was with the Cowboys. That's reasonable.

But Dez calling out team captains, bashing coaches, putting blame on everyone else doesn't really sound like a guy who loves the Cowboys. It sounds like a me first douchbag.

He is still blaming everyone around him rather than his failure to produce, poor route running, etc. Moreover if Dez were smart, even if he was steamed, would have been to say I understand this was just business, this was a money decision. I love the Cowboys I wish them well and they feel the same about me. I will always be a Cowboy.

The way he is acting teams will know he hates the Cowboys (which may be a bit of a plus) but it also validates that this decision was about more than just production.

Dez "X" Bryant just got "X'ed" out.
It sounds to me like he's real and he wishes others would have been man enough to approached him face to face and just talk about whatever differences they've had. I understand where he's coming from but nowadays everyones a politician and talks only behind peoples backs and when the doors are closed.

Imagine how you sound.
Dudes not even a cowboy any longer and you are still spamming the board with your weirdo obsession.
You're defending a dbag even after he is not a Cowboys player.

Dez wants what all of us humans want and that is the feeling that we are wanted or have something useful to give to the world. It is just a basic need that we have. When that is taken away or we feel no one wants us especially in something that we love, than some people do not know how to handle it. Your right he needs to handle it more professionally then he is because when adversity comes into someone's life their true character will show.

So true, regardless of playing a Pro sport, being a Supervisor, A mid-level manager or a janitor.

Hear that whooshing noise above your head? That is my point.

It's personal with this dude, it will be the year 2020 and he'll still find a way to make Dez threads. BTW the Cowboys did him dirty, they could have cut him at the start of free agency but waited until all the spots were gone, if they were doing this to negotiate a salary reduction then I would understand it but they didn't, them cutting him now vs the start of FA hurt both parties.

His heart wasn't truly with the Cowboys....if true, once the talk of cutting him became rampant he would have approached the FO expressing his desire to remain in Dallas and if taking a cut would improve the team he would be interested in sitting down with them to discuss a paycut........he had plenty of time to do it yet he didn't.....even after telling the media "hell naw" when asked if he would be willing to take a paycut to remain in Dallas......bottom line, he made the bed he's currently lying in.

It sucks for any of the team captains that may not have had anything to do with it. Saying he wasn't going to throw anyone under the bus and then throwing people that may not have had a say under the bus is pretty malicious. O
I can't imagine Sean Lee was asked and yet I have seen assumptions on the interwebs since he is a team captain.

Those guys all have their own warts. I’m glad they are all little Jason Garrett kiss ***** and that’s what keeps getting them buy.

Sean Lee... Guy can’t even stay healthy.

Witten is a fossil out there.

Dak is a limited passer.

Bailey is a kicker.

Crawford is also the captain of bad contracts.

The whole thing was unprofessional. From start to finish. The team made a mockery of Dez. They allowed the whole thing to be played out in the media. So I have no issue with Dez and his comments.

true but we're not on the team or being paid millions. If he had issues, he should of addressed them directly and behind closed doors. Going public then and now I see as disappointing, a flaw in character and someone who wasn't happy being on the team - well, maybe he got what he subconsciously wanted.

Kind of a douchbag move to release him now.

Further. If coaches were tired of him being late or attitude they should have manned up and disciplined him earlier. Could have benched him or heaven forbid they could have actually called plays for other wide receivers....but they did none of those things. They talked smack to reporters behind his back.

His way is not how teams work.

If you don't like the offense then talk to the coaches. If they don't respond then shutup or offer to return bonus money in exchange for a trade or release.

Calling out the superiors in sports, military or other team based functions has never worked.
