That was big and I think it went along way in sealing this win for the Cowboys. Down by 14 with a chance to get right back into the game to walk away with 3 hurt Houston alot

seems a tad overlooked doesn't it?

Of course it would be NICE if Wade WOULDN'T CALL a timeout everytime just before our guys make a huge play...

The Cowboys quieted that crowd, which is exactly what they needed to do to prevent a comeback of any kind.

Defense played really great, once again, after getting beaten up a little bit last week. I'm very pleased with the defense once again. Excellent job and that goal line stand simply can not be over looked. It was huge.

I told my wife, we just won the game when Brooking was running off the field.. it was the moment of the game.

I think that was the turning point of the game. In retrospect and despite being just before the end of the 1st half, the game was over and the boys had them

That was my favorite series of the game...Essentially four plays to get it into the end zone from within the 5 yard line (because of the redo on the offsetting penalties), and no dice!

I was MAD AS *&*$ when Brooking blatantly face guarded the receiver on that play and never even tried to make a play on the ball...It nearly gave them another first down at the one (if not for the offsetting penalties). However, he made up for it with a vicious sack on Shaub that knocked him back almost 10 yards on 3rd down.

The run defense on that series was just phenomenal though...It was refreshing to see.

That was huge for sure. Brooking made up for his penalty too with that sack. We caught a huge break there too with the off setting penalties but still a nice defensive stand none the less.

Point of order, that was Kubiak calling the time out.

I'm optimistic out defense turned the corner this week. So far I have been a little disappointed. Still some things to clean up but overall we appear ready to dominate. That was a good offensive team he held down today.

I thought that sack by Booking was the turning point of the game as well, and thus the key play. It was a monster hit and a crucial stop there. They needed a TD and had to settle for 3.

Yea, Salty...after Wade called a great game, and the whole team responded. Think he would get some serious TLC around these digs...

Spencer was dominating during that goalline stand.

that was huge.
that is the point that the texans realised that the game was over.

Building on the opening post. Yea, I think that the stop on the one yard line has to be tremendous for this defense's thought process. It is a tremendous confidence builder. They already have been slapped in the face by Chicago last week, and by these same Texans in the pre-season. This is still an early in the season game, but it gives the team a lot to build upon.

This team does tend to get a little nasty around their end zone, and that is great to see. The turnovers and ability to take some heat to a quality opponent in a game of importance, even if early in the season, bodes very well at this point in the season. Too bad it was a 'crucial' game this early, but the beginning of a season involves adjustments for all teams.

The stop was great to see...:starspin
