Dhani Jones????

What would you think of bringing in Dhani Jones on a vet min or a little more.

I don't think he could give us much on the field but his knowledge of the Jimmie Johnson blitz packages, which we had trouble with picking up, would be worth it IMO.

I think it would be good to pick someone's brain who has info on the enemy's defensive scheme and audible system.

Just a thought.

Terrible idea; My friend is an Eagles fan and I have seen this guy so I know about hisplay... he has terrible instincts, which is bad to have for a linebacker, a position which actually values that trait above most. He is also incredibly weak... he gets automatically blown up by lineman and tight ends, and the lineman don't even have to try. Bring him into camp and get him to divulge every friggin' thing he knows (prolly not much) then kick His Eggo "aishe" outta here. Terrible, Terrible... do what smarta says; delete this thread.

There are advantages and disadvantages to signing him. I would like to see him signed to 1 million dollar for 1 year and 500,000 signing bonus.

Advantages

+ He's not sure guranteed the job so he would have to earn it.
+ He could be great depth to have
+ He does have some knowledge of the Eagles team
+ He could push our younger players to play harder on D.
+ He's an locker room player

Disadvantages

- Could take time from the younger linebackers
- Could ask for alot of money

- Does he get along with Terrell Owens?

When a team that is HURTING for quality LBs releases a LB... it's probably a good idea NOT to sign that LB.

Well obviously watching film hasn't helped us much in the Blitz pick-up department. And as I said in the opening post of the thread, I don't think he is worth much to us on the field. But he can obviously give us some insight into what they are doing scheme-wise that may help out. He may also be able to clue us in on the defensive audibles.

As for the 12 games we've played them the last 6 years, how have we done?

All I'm saying is to bring him in for a look and pick his his brain a bit.

You act like I want to sign him to a multi million dollar deal or something.
