Did 2016 Dallas or 2024 Washington have the Better Team Going into their Playoffs? (Read Post 66)

Who had the superior playoff-caliber team during their rookie season?

Oh, come on now, you know better than that. That team stunk. That team is the kind of team Dak wins. Are you one of them that says Dak made the GOAT retire in shame after that game? smh
No, i am one that laughs at some who say a TB12 team in the playoffs sucked though...I can also say Dak played a good game then turned around and played a bad game...you know things that really happened...

Well, if the Cowboys make the playoffs, doubtful, but if they do lets hope it's a team that is not even supposed to be in the playoffs in the first place, then Dak can win another one, maybe even make the opposing QB retire in shame.

If they make the playoffs and win does it matter who the QB on the other team is and what he does the next offseason? Again im not in it for the "Dak" factor ...if the Cowboys win they win ...when they lose they all lose...and they lose in the playoffs alot during the Jerry way times...

Ok, I will have to agree with you on one point, it's the Jerry factor. Aside from hiring Coach Jimmy, he is the worse thing to happen to the Dallas freaking Cowboys!

As rookies,

Dak was the better QB.

Jayden had the better team.

The Commanders going all the way to the NFC Championship Game proves it takes a TEAM to make it far into the playoffs.

Dak is better than Daniels, imo. Let's see what happens this year.
The only thing that Dak has over Daniels right now is experience…Dak would certainly fall short of him in the talent department.

The only thing that would worry me about Daniels if I was a Washington fan is his body frame… And how long he will last/stay healthy long term. Would I take him over Dak right now in a must win game? All other things being equal, yes, I would.

There is no version of Dak that could've led the Washington team to the Conference Championship game last year.
I think this post is the crux of the matter on Dak. It's not going to "get better". In fact, every version we've seen of Dak doesn't even make it to the NFC Championship game. The only time he didn't really choke was when he had stacked teams around him (CeeDee, Amari on the same team (Seattle) or prime Zeke, 3 HOF lineman (Green Bay) ). Every other time Dak choked or disappeared...which is another form of choking.

80% of rabid, die hard Cowboys fans says that 2016 team was better than 2024 Commanders...and in most folks estimation...it wasn't even close.

Love is BLIND.

I think it all boils down to personal perspective. For example, I still believe the 2007 New England Patriots was one of the best teams ever assembled but the New York Giants beat them.

They deserved their Lombardi and I do see the Giants as the better team that day. Nonetheless, my 'better team' vote would still go to New England.
To me, in order to do these "what-if" scenarios properly...you have to imagine each team meeting up with the same rosters (injuries included) and they play 10x back to back ...each time being completely rested. NE wins those games - IMO - 8 out of 10 times.

In the case of the 2016 Cowboys...there's just no way we don't bludgeon the Commanders 7 out of 10 times...and maybe 9 out of 10 with a better QB in 2016. Or if you switch QBs and give us Jaydon and give the 2024 Commanders team to Dak...LOL...it's not even CLOSE!!!

You are arguing a made up point. You’re chasing ghosts. Nobody said Dak didn’t need help or was the engine. Nobody.
Actually you did when you keep chanting, "Get your money Dak!" Until the cap rises, Dak's salary severely limits our ability to get said help. It's simple logic. 2-1 = 1. You can't subtract and imagine you're adding value.
