Did a knee brace save our or at least Flozell's season?

Looking at the replay where Flozell got hurt, he had a knee brace on the leg that got rolled into. Without that brace, I thing he is done for the year. That knee bent inward enough for me to think he was done for the year when they showed the replay. I hate to think what would have happened without that brace!

It may have been but if you get a chance to see the replay, look at how inward his knee is bent. When I saw it, I said to myself "He's done."

I agree with you it probably did save his knee.

Maybe the brace made it an ankle injury when it would have been a knee sans the brace

I dont know how those guys plays with Knee Braces on.

We had to wear knee braces at my school and the difference in my play with them on and with them off was so significant I talked to the coaches into letting me not wear them.

I felt like a robot in those suckers. I dont know how guys play to their best ability with them on.

Maybe their design has improved

I graduated in 97 from HS, and had to wear one. Compared to what they are now, it's night and day. Much lighter, more fluid, and ALOT more comfortable.

I would hope so.

Lets break it down... the knee should only let the ankle more forward and backward... side to side and hyperextension should be firm to very little flex in those directions
