Did anybody else feel like I did yesterday?

Watching our draft room and seeing the confidence and professional appearance of Jason Garrett was a comforting thing to me. For the first time in a long time I felt their was an adult in the room to deal with Jerry.

Garrett is a natural. :D

Thank God Wade is gone. :banghead:

I don't know I felt damn good about Dez and Lee pick last season. I love that Garrett is getting this oppertunity and like what I see in him but he will be judged like all other coaches wins and loses

Last year with AoA, Sam Young & Sean Lee we got 3 players I loved before the draft, so I was happy about that.

Although this year Tyron Smith I loved and have been mocking to us since Feb, so hopefully we get Brandon Harris or Aaron Williams in the 2nd today and i'll happy.

Plus no outlandish meals being served to the entire staff. The only one eating from what I saw was Stephen. Obviously, the meal deal was Wade's plan.

we are on the same page...I definitely want a CB today, but I like Williams for the CB/S combo experience...and I feel the same way about Clemson's Gilcrist.

Same, but I feel more confident about Harris & signing Huff would make the safety experience for Williams pretty much a non factor.

Other than him giggling like a school girl when it first started, I felt good about having him in there. Much more confidence than with Wade.

Though I was thrilled with the Dez and Lee picks last year.

I'm still luke warm on the Smith pick this year but I hope he is as good as everyone says.

I had heard some "experts" say that he was a project in the making and that he "could" be great but had a lot of work. He played RT in college so for being a top 10 pick, he will have to make the jump to the left side. It's not always a natural thing for someone to do.

Getting Dez last year almost made up for skipping out on Steven Jackson. ALMOST.

I think those were my two draft extremes.

Pure jubilation for getting Dez Bryant and pure distress over Jackson falling to us and seeing us trade down.

To draft Smith though made me very happy, simply knowing that it was a reinvestment in Tony Romo (and to an extent Felix Jones).

I think a lot of jobs are riding on this draft pick panning out and it could change our entire draft philosophy if/when it does.

If you look at Vanderjagt, the cost involved in failure makes Jerry even less likely to do something in that direction again. Which lead us to Buehler's failure of a year.
