Did anyone (besides me), see anything positive in the last 2 games, especially this past game? Out of all the people that posts on here that believes they know football?

Try to be serious and put aside your dislike for whoever is in this organization or on the team and be honest, one way or another. If you didn’t see anything positive then by all means say it, but if you did don’t be afraid to say you did, don’t be a prisoner of the moment.

Don’t let the media, don’t let fans, the current record paint your picture.

I have always said that big problems are an accumulation of little problems adding up, that things are not as bad as they seem and that things are not always as good as they seem.

So I record every game every season and I go back and watch the games at least once or twice.

I started doing that after a lot of board clashes when I first became a member back in the 90s, definitely when Quincy was the QB, so I have a lot of VHS tapes (lol).

I am a coach and I am always telling my athletes that it’s the little things that makes a difference, that a star is not just physically talented but mentally as well.

Today rewatching the game as I noticed in all the games this season, frankly for the past seasons.

The players can’t get out of their own way and I blame Jerry ( now I like Jerry and the Jones family), but I lay the blame, at his feet for why the Cowboys are mentally challenged, we have physical talented players, now the depth may not be good past the 2nd stringers but we do have talent, so the media is wrong on that, but the teams throughout the years have not been mentally talented.

That’s because Jerry had set a culture that is not holding them accountable for all the stupid things they do.

It starts with him handcuffing his head Coach, I don’t care about how little he pays his coaches, the way I see it if he paid top dollar for his HC , he probably would be even worse than he is now.

Anyway rewatching the game today, all the mental lapses ( penalties), to the bad angle that Diggs and Wilson took on those two td catches, horrible decisions flat out stupid play on their part, I say if the both of them had played it right (smarter) they quite possibly could’ve have intercepted Cousin’s passes.

The TE , Spann on one play if he had the mental savvy to just sit in the open space in the zone Dak would have hit him instead of trying to hit Tolbert on a difficult pass, now Tolbert can make that play but he jumped too early but it should not have had to try to make the catch if Spann had stopped in the open, if he had we hope Dak would have seen him and threw it. But Dak ( I love Dak) he is a top 5 QB , this year he has been stuck on 88, and missing a lot of open guys!! I don’t understand why he and CeeDee can’t understand that if Dak is completing passes to everyone it helps CeeDee replicate what he did last year.

CeeDee, he is his own worst enemy, karma is on his back because he sat out all training camp ( same for Jerry for taking so long to pay Dak and CeeDee).

All the years that I have watched football when players have sat out the whole training camp they either have a not so good season, get injured or both.

Zack Martin has retired, he really thought about retiring after last season but came back, he did but he didn’t, his play is of a player that is just going through the motions.

Jerry set this whole thing in play with the contracts and no contract, no contract renewal for McCarthy, and the one year contract for Zimmer, now you have all the coaching staff looking for a landing spot and not really focusing on their jobs ( in my opinion), you think they are professionals but yet they are human and no one is perfect.

Tyler Guyton is a converted DT, he played DT until his last 2 years in college then move to RT, in which we move him to LT.

Whose great idea was that after the season Steele had last season. Guyton should be RT, TJ Bass should be starting at one G spot Beebe could have been the other once we saw Zack’s play, Hoffman at Center and Smith at LT( until we’re able to get another), or tried Richards at LT or RT, so many combinations that could have our best 5 starting no, they can’t figure it out.

Have you ever heard the term “ that someone is so smart that they’re stupid “?

Wilson can tackle but he’s a liability in coverage, Thomas and Bell should be the starting Safeties.

Parsons needs to be a LB first, but if they don’t want to do that then draft, trade or pick up in FA another DE so that he doesn’t get wore down through out the season by double, triple and chip blocks.

I agree Zeke is done he’s a situational player at best now, Duce should be cut should not have even wasted a pick on him. I am really ok with not signing Henry, Barkley, or Jones. Should not have brought Zeke back, kept Royce Freeman, and Cook should have been playing long before Sunday and Dowdle given more time as the lead back. Lupke should get more carries and passes.

The young receivers need more PT.

Liafau is a good LB should be starting and playing all the time, Overshown is awesome, Kendricks should be splitting time.

McCarthy needs to do better with play calling and more firm with Dak on changing plays.

There was a lot of positives in the loss, but all the little things have added up to a big problem, the 5 loses and the blowouts and now with a lot of fans complaining and the media feeding them.

I think we will play good with Rush and Lance. If Lance gets to play, so don’t be surprised if we win Sunday and Monday and on Thanksgiving

Lance looks to be running scout team so I can’t see him start unless Coop gets hurt
Well, it has always been said one play away.
Not wishing that to happen, but not being effective could have Lance on the field.
But there could be some packages for Lance

I noticed the defense had more intensity, at least in the beginning.
As far as the offense, Rush will be more effective and I believe 7-8 wins are possible vs the 5-6 i was betting on.
There's more talent on the OL than we see, and a different coach and system would do wonders.
Looking for a exciting off season.
I'll never agree Dak is a top 15 QB, Rush will make that obvious.

Agree the defense actually did play better, Bijan Robinson and Algers are good.
Rush may be more effective but that doesn’t mean he is better than QB1. 7/8 more wins puts us at 10/11 wins I believe that is possible.
Yes the OL has more talent, pass blocking is pass blocking but run blocking they probably are made for a straight man on man or combo blocking scheme than a zone blocking scheme that I believe they are attempting to execute.

As far as you not thinking that Dak is a top 15 QB, I’m just going to be honest with you I believe that’s a personal thing , that you never probably liked Dak from the beginning.

Rush is not a better QB than Dak, 32 teams told us so on draft day.
Rush will show us what it looks like when hopefully he doesn’t get tunnel vision for 88, and hopefully the powers that be don’t tell Rush to focus on 88.

But I like your opinion

The effort on D was better, but a lack of talent in the trenches is killing the team. Rico was “ill”.

lol I dont see where you listed anything positive !
YOu did point out a lot of bad player mgmt.
Alot of that is on MM and other coaches.

The team isnt playing as a team, and none of them play "smart"

you should watch this, this guy is honest and speaks out on players need to be smarter and do the work to be prepared.

Inconsistent accuracy
I have a Dak jersey in my closet from 2016 . The minute he lost his ability to scramble effectively and was forced to be a pocket QB the warts began to show. If you watch as much film as you say, you see the tight throws that are there but he refuses to cut loose.
Lately even the bulk of his short passes are off target. I don't know your agenda but if you're a coach and you don't acknowledge the obvious flaws maybe you should order the all 22s.

Even if some of the key players bounce back from their injuries their just isn't enough player horsepower to get on track and be competitive the remainder of this season. Besides we never distinguish ourselves in post seasons. The better teams have savvy ownership, superior upper management and coaching staffs and more more talented and aggressive starting players including quality backups.

Overshown is our best defensive player by a mile right now. Turpin can be a difference maker. Fergie is a good player as well. I still think Duece could make some plays if given the chance. We may never see that tho..

Maybe some individual players have improved but collectively as a team? No not really. We are guaranteed at least one TD in garbage time that’s for certain

Yes. They are playing as individuals and not as a team. This is on the coaching and on the players for not conforming to the schemes and plans.
