Did anyone besides me see anything positive in the last 2 games?

Against the likes of teams such as Atlanta that look like they would fold like a bed sheet against Detroit yes the Cowboys look a little better . Your hanging in at 14-10 and Bones talks MM into a fake punt

Players like Rico Dowdle Beebe on O played decent game and on D Overshown and Carl Lawson showed up . Atlanta lost its top receiver after the first series and SF was as injury depleted as Dallas and in neither game was it possible for Dallas to realistically win .

An entire coaching staff needs to be replaced with a defensive heavy draft next season. Plus draft a RB to pair with Dowdle if he comes back to Dallas

Did anyone (besides me), see anything positive in the last 2 games, especially this past game? Out of all the people that posts on here that believes they know football?

Try to be serious and put aside your dislike for whoever is in this organization or on the team and be honest, one way or another. If you didn’t see anything positive then by all means say it, but if you did don’t be afraid to say you did, don’t be a prisoner of the moment.

Don’t let the media, don’t let fans, the current record paint your picture.

I have always said that big problems are an accumulation of little problems adding up, that things are not as bad as they seem and that things are not always as good as they seem.

So I record every game every season and I go back and watch the games at least once or twice.

I started doing that after a lot of board clashes when I first became a member back in the 90s, definitely when Quincy was the QB, so I have a lot of VHS tapes (lol).

I am a coach and I am always telling my athletes that it’s the little things that makes a difference, that a star is not just physically talented but mentally as well.

Today rewatching the game as I noticed in all the games this season, frankly for the past seasons.

The players can’t get out of their own way and I blame Jerry ( now I like Jerry and the Jones family), but I lay the blame, at his feet for why the Cowboys are mentally challenged, we have physical talented players, now the depth may not be good past the 2nd stringers but we do have talent, so the media is wrong on that, but the teams throughout the years have not been mentally talented.

That’s because Jerry had set a culture that is not holding them accountable for all the stupid things they do.

It starts with him handcuffing his head Coach, I don’t care about how little he pays his coaches, the way I see it if he paid top dollar for his HC , he probably would be even worse than he is now.

Anyway rewatching the game today, all the mental lapses ( penalties), to the bad angle that Diggs and Wilson took on those two td catches, horrible decisions flat out stupid play on their part, I say if the both of them had played it right (smarter) they quite possibly could’ve have intercepted Cousin’s passes.

The TE , Spann on one play if he had the mental savvy to just sit in the open space in the zone Dak would have hit him instead of trying to hit Tolbert on a difficult pass, now Tolbert can make that play but he jumped too early but it should not have had to try to make the catch if Spann had stopped in the open, if he had we hope Dak would have seen him and threw it. But Dak ( I love Dak) he is a top 5 QB , this year he has been stuck on 88, and missing a lot of open guys!! I don’t understand why he and CeeDee can’t understand that if Dak is completing passes to everyone it helps CeeDee replicate what he did last year.

CeeDee, he is his own worst enemy, karma is on his back because he sat out all training camp ( same for Jerry for taking so long to pay Dak and CeeDee).

All the years that I have watched football when players have sat out the whole training camp they either have a not so good season, get injured or both.

Zack Martin has retired, he really thought about retiring after last season but came back, he did but he didn’t, his play is of a player that is just going through the motions.

Jerry set this whole thing in play with the contracts and no contract, no contract renewal for McCarthy, and the one year contract for Zimmer, now you have all the coaching staff looking for a landing spot and not really focusing on their jobs ( in my opinion), you think they are professionals but yet they are human and no one is perfect.

Tyler Guyton is a converted DT, he played DT until his last 2 years in college then move to RT, in which we move him to LT.

Whose great idea was that after the season Steele had last season. Guyton should be RT, TJ Bass should be starting at one G spot Beebe could have been the other once we saw Zack’s play, Hoffman at Center and Smith at LT( until we’re able to get another), or tried Richards at LT or RT, so many combinations that could have our best 5 starting no, they can’t figure it out.

Have you ever heard the term “ that someone is so smart that they’re stupid “?

Wilson can tackle but he’s a liability in coverage, Thomas and Bell should be the starting Safeties.

Parsons needs to be a LB first, but if they don’t want to do that then draft, trade or pick up in FA another DE so that he doesn’t get wore down through out the season by double, triple and chip blocks.

I agree Zeke is done he’s a situational player at best now, Duce should be cut should not have even wasted a pick on him. I am really ok with not signing Henry, Barkley, or Jones. Should not have brought Zeke back, kept Royce Freeman, and Cook should have been playing long before Sunday and Dowdle given more time as the lead back. Lupke should get more carries and passes.

The young receivers need more PT.

Liafau is a good LB should be starting and playing all the time, Overshown is awesome, Kendricks should be splitting time.

McCarthy needs to do better with play calling and more firm with Dak on changing plays.

There was a lot of positives in the loss, but all the little things have added up to a big problem, the 5 loses and the blowouts and now with a lot of fans complaining and the media feeding them.

I think we will play good with Rush and Lance. If Lance gets to play, so don’t be surprised if we win Sunday and Monday and on Thanksgiving
the only positive I saw was we actually ran the ball this past game and had good results.

Not sure what positives can be drawn from a team that has gone from a 12-5 /#2 seed to what we see now. It really indicates how completely clueless the organization is.

4th qtr of 49ers game, McCarthy had two drives where he was actually creative and they scored quickly and easily. But other than that......nothing.

If I'm breaking absolutely all team performance down I'd say Overshown, Tyler Smith and Aubry were the 3 positives on the team.

Hard to find much more for me honestly.

Just my opinion.

I’ve actually thought the defense has played okay the past two weeks. They’ve gotten off the field and given the offense a chance at least. Multiple times the offense has failed. Guyton is a train wreck, but he has all the tools to be a freak some day. He just needs a great coach IMO.

Flournoy needs more snaps. He’s big and physical.

Overshown and Dowdle are really the only two players that look like they are playing for contracts. They are playing to win.

Rico last 3 games nearly 5 yards per carry, the problem is he's not getting the carries...

I don't care if he was at 4 yards per carry, he's no different than Kareem hunt, the difference is Mike McCarthy like you pointed out this is a systemic problem,

it has been, yes our offensive line is inconsistent up and down(Guyton is not that bad rated top 10 right now), and gets penalized too much but Rico should have been the starter from day one,

and he should have got 15 to 20 carries no matter the situation and some games if he's rolling, no running back by committee should have been being used!!!!

rico's good enough to be used like Reid is using Kareem hunt; Kareem hunt since he stepped on the field without being on a practice squad and no training camp has been given the ball 20 times minimum every game and he's under 4 yards a carry most games, but they have an effective run game...

that's all we needed around here..

so I say Rico is the positive and people think we needed to add a running back at the trade deadline and I believe Mike McCarthy needs to get his head straight I'd be throwing and breaking iPads as well or whatever they use over there in the NFL microsoft. He should be mad at himself this man has literally dropped the ball disrespected and did not commit to the run game to a point where everyone around here thinks we didn't have enough players to utilize and create at least an effective run game to keep this from being 1 dimensional.. that's all I'm Mike McCarthy, Rico has the last three games that he's played other than the flu game that he missed that he should have been the starter the entire time and got a bulk of the carries the entire time to a point where you didn't even need a running back by committee until he got hurt then there would have been an excuse to use other players.....

How can Aubrey not be a positive? How can getting all this PT for two rookie OL not be a positive? How can MM getting fired not be a positive? There are a few more too.
Arbery had no influence on this season yet

lol I dont see where you listed anything positive !
YOu did point out a lot of bad player mgmt.
Alot of that is on MM and other coaches.

The team isnt playing as a team, and none of them play "smart"

you should watch this, this guy is honest and speaks out on players need to be smarter and do the work to be prepared.

I asked if you saw anything, I saw plenty. I wanted to know what you saw or if you agree or not.
But you are so focused on negative things that the positive things can be hitting you in the face and you still won’t see them lol

Overshown is our best defensive player by a mile right now. Turpin can be a difference maker. Fergie is a good player as well. I still think Duece could make some plays if given the chance. We may never see that tho..
Maybe on Deuce, but I have always thought he was a wasted pick to please his dad, for his loyalty to the organization.
Honestly Deuce would’ve never been drafted in my opinion, not by an NFL team

Even if some of the key players bounce back from their injuries there just isn't enough player horsepower to get on track and be competitive the remainder of this season. Besides we never distinguish ourselves in post seasons. The better teams have savvy ownership, superior upper management and coaching staffs and more more talented and aggressive starting players including quality backups.
I disagree with all that
