Did anyone else catch this crazy Romo stat?

Correct me if I'm wrong...but...

I was listening to Brad Sham Sunday and he said that in the entire annals of NFL history Romo is like FOURTH in yards per attempt...better than ANY modern quarterback.

Yes Tony needs to protect the ball (though the same can be said for a lot of quarterbacks) and yes Tony needs to play better in December (though that's true of most Cowboy players in the past 15 years)

But holy crap. You better appreciate what we got because Tony is HISTORIC GREATNESS.

He's not on this list, but its a year old so it may be because he didn't have a minimum number to qualify.

if romo plays 5 more years at anywhere near this level, he'll finish as the number 2 guy in passing yardage in franchise history, but waaay ahead in touchdowns and completion percentage. if he can stay healthy for even a little longer, he should surpass aikman in every category there is (except, probably, for playoffs wins). so it's not for nothing that aikman keeps talking up romo. he sees what's coming.

Romo is at 8.2 Yards per attempt so that would put him at 3rd on that list.

Although, Tony Romo is the highest ranked player still active, at #82. Ben R is next at #91.

YPA - career. Tony is fourth all time, first among modern-era QBs. I'm really shocked at the QBs who are above him, putting up those numbers for their era.

Didn't you know TO made Romo and Romo would be nothing without him. Oh yeah he just put up one of the best days he has had as the Cowboys QB

Yards per attempt is a better stat. It is identical to a rusher's yard per carry.

The guy is just getting started. Jeez, we have one of the best quarterbacks in the league, and in my opinion the best, and people just want to harp on him not winning a playoff game.
