Did anyone else hear this

What if the smoke is made up? these guys KNOW NOTHING. They want to invent things to make themselves look good. These are the same people that claimed that JJ and BP could not even make it through one season.

Yes, I know all about Bayless, but the Henson situation could very well be an area of disagreement. Jerry has made it plain that he thinks we need a young franchise QB.

Last time Jerry insisted we play a young QB was Carter.

My bet is Parcells brings that up every time Jerry even says the word "Henson".

A friend told me - he think's it was Bob Glauber of NY Newsday and someone else , were on ESPN News and both said that Jerry Jones is insisting on Drew Henson next season and BP wants no part of it - rather stick with Bledsoe.

??

i hope its true:D

you really want to turn next season over to henson? send him to europe and when he falls on his face you will see thats not the answer. draft cutler and get a real qb. henson just does'nt have "it"

And you know this how? Oh yea, big bill told you. Or, you base it on one half in his first NFL start. Or, you base it on a preseason where he had throwing motion messed with by the Cowboys QB gurus.

Actually Skip Bayless was hosting for Jim Rome last week and said the handling of Henson is an area where Bill and Jerry do not agree. He said to watch that situation.

Interesting info CA, thanks.

this reminds me of feces and a wall and the holding properties of said feces.

Wasn't Glauber the same guy who kept saying how Reid/McNabb had the TO situation under control
after that first couple of weeks in training camp?

One can only hope...

Jerry would want Henson or a young QB because Jerry, unlike Bill, isn't a short term Cowboy...Jerry is in for the longhaul...

I'll say it 'til I drop...the worst thing I heard from Parcells was "I'm too old to lose"...it's pretty rare that you can rebuild a team and not lose...

Despite the great legacies Hank Stram and Bum Phillips had-lest not all forget that their stints in the Big Easy were nothing but.

Pt being that the sad reality of this Cowboys franchise is that we may be following in the footsteps of the Saints.

Then he should have gone out and got one. Jerry has mishandled the situation.

...and I think he screwed the kid in that Thanksgiving game...

I'd like to see Henson...hey, I'd like to see Romo...

It's obvious that Parcells came here not to rebuild but to win...sounds kinda goofy to criticize the guy for that...but in fact, if he was here for the long haul, he would have gone about things differently...and that means, no Testaverde...no Bledsoe...

This is what I mean when I constantly say, this isn't the same coach I saw in NY.

1) JJ has already said that Bledsoe is the best QB they've had since Aikman.
2) JJ said that Henson will probably be going to NFLEurope

--> You don't build up one QB, and say you're considering sending another QB to NFLE, then make the latter QB your starter the next season. Just doesn't make sense.

You are right Juke- the best thing that could have happened when we fired Campo was to persuade BP to be in it for the long haul by doing a real rebuild or to have said thanks for your time and hired a young guy who was willing to do so. Honestly, I think Jerry has learned his lesson and will remain hands-off.

I agree in part, but how many Quincys, Hutchinsons and other projects would we go through? Parcells has at least upgraded the posistion. Now maybe he will have Romo or Henson ready, maybe not. We dont know.
What I would bet big money on is with out Parcells, Henson would more than likely come and gone already.

I could argue that Parcells has built this team for the longhaul.

Look at all the building blocks added -

Spears, Canty, Ware, James, Roy, Tnew, Henry, Witten, JJ

He has sprinkled veterans into the mix as ALL teams do..... Put Henson out there this year and I'd love to have the results - seriously. Henson needs to go to NFL Europe and get experience. It may be in his best interest to be traded in offseason and get a new start. He's not beating Bledsoe out next year or the year after if Bledsoe stays healthy.

Nors,

I'll give you one more season for Bledsoe if Parcells is here, (perhaps even if he isn't because there aren't a lot of options and he was respectable this year), but 2 more years of Bledsoe, come on.

I truly believe Jerry's long-term view is one more year with Bledsoe, while Henson plays Europe this year and then, hopefully Henson is ready to play.
If Henson bombs in Europe then we draft or try and acquire a young QB like Schaub or Matt Cassel.

Henson may not make it, but that is at least a long-range plan.
