Tickets to the public for this event were free. Wallenda paid 200K to the U.S. and 115K to Canada to do this stunt. Those amounts did not come close to what it cost to prep the event, organize during, manage transportation and have rescue teams on stand by.
I'm sorry if I come off sounding bitter but I'm not happy about the use of resources when we are an area that already struggles with how we use our resources here to begin with.
