Did anyone else just watch Nik Wallenda over Niagara Falls?

Yes, there are some pros to this as far as publicity to the area and cross border relations. I'm just more disheartened by the financial impact. The ironic thing was all the publicity by the news about how great it was...now, the local news is all "hey this was great, but at what cost." A lot of people here locally are starting to raise an eyebrow.

Well, that's what news people do. They say one thing to get a reaction and create a story, then they say something else to create another story fr an opposite reaction. No one ever said the news had integrity.

Nope. I heard about it and it brought me back to the days when they'd do TV Specials like David Copperfield and what not, so I liked the idea but I have zero interest in watching dare-devil type stuff, the hour they spend talking about an event that usually takes no more than 15 minutes is ridiculous.

I loved the Evel Knivel stuff. That was great TV, especially for a kid.

Yeah, if I were younger, I'd probably have been more into not. Not so much these days, guess I've seen some **** now. :laugh2:

He never fell then?

He didn't fall last night but I'll never forget when his grandfather did 34 years ago in Puerto Rico. The Wallenda's are a crazy family I believe 7 of them have died walking high wires.

I think I saw that on TV when it happened. I thought how dumb of him.

I lost all interest the moment I noticed the safety harness.

Would've been more awesome if someone jumped a motorcycle over it, but I'll take it.

Considering he was tethered to the rope I thought it was pretty lame. That guy is no Man on Wire.

He was forced to do it by ABC. He didn't want it. It was either wear it or he didn't get to do the walk.

The wire was also wider than usual.
