Did anyone expect Dak to be All-pro? Did anyone expect us to go 15-1?

A game against a good team with much to play for on the road and we lost by three. Did anyone expect Dak to be All-pro? Did anyone expect us to go 15-1? My questions before last night were related to our defense being able to help down the stretch. They played a great game. We were a turnover and long pass away form a win which we basically gave away. I'm still excited about the season, but apparently I shouldn't be from what I am reading here. Discuss.

It's easy to forget the guy is still a rookie with a lot to learn.

The biggest issue for me last night was playcalling.

I want to say the coaches were playing it close to their vests in case of a future meeting between these teams, but I think that may be giving them too much credit.

I'd like to strangle the coaches. Between having Dak continue to throw the ball in the second half when we were up and pulling Zeke.....they've pretty much shown themselves as idiots.

Every time a game is close and comes down to coaching we freaking lose! Our coaches add nothing but crap. Seems like we have to outplay our own coaches as well as the other team.

The frustration comes from the playcalling, Dez, and the way Dak played. His passes were inaccurate, he held the ball too long, and had no pocket awareness.

This is the second straight week he's had a bad game. There is nothing to be happy about last nights game. It was a disaster in all phases but Defense. They played their tails off. Carr even had a good game.

I don't agree that the Giants are a good team but everything else is spot on

Are we sure that it's the coaches pulling Zeke out or he is taking himself out?

Apparently lots of fans expect him to be all pro....why not if you think he should be the league MVP. :muttley:

I'm a little worried about his pocket awareness but nothing else. He's shown signs the last two weeks of doing the same **** he did in college. He will get stone feet and absolutely refuse to run. He took so many bad sacks his last year because of this. He has to get back to USING his feet and athleticism.

You have every right to be excited. Don't let the Romo undercurrent spoil the good mojo we have going. I look for us to rebound well against Tampa now that we received a much needed attitude adjustment.

Here's the thing that seems to be lost on so many. "Winning" isn't the only indicator -- the Broncos won with Tim Tebow, the Bears won with Rex Grossman, etc. etc. etc. It is about analyzing those victories and determining what worked very well and what can be improved, so the team can turn wins into more convincing wins. The fact of the matter is, we scored 7 points last night. 7. We have converted 2 of 24 3rd downs in the last two games. Two. So yes, a couple of plays here or there and we win last night by a score of 13-10 or possibly 17-10. If you're okay with that, so be it. I think we should be beating some of these teams by a heck of a lot more than a single score. And I think if Romo were back there, we would be. I can't fathom how you can look at Dak's numbers over the last couple of games and be okay with it.

They made plenty of strange decisions, that's for sure

These games happen. as long as there were no major injuries last night, I'm happy about that. In the past, these games were the beginning of the end. This is a different team and they will be fine. We are still a year or two away guys. We need to add a speed guy on offense. We have nobody that can out-run people like Jackson or OBJ and that's huge. We're finally getting there, but just not quite yet.....

Were you happy with how our offense played last night?

Think the issue isn't that we lost by 3, it's that we scored 7 points and had 3 first downs in the second half.

Again, not on a ledge, but that is worthy of some reasonable discussion why the offense struggled so much.

Like I said: rookie QB in a hostile environment against a good team for ONE GAME. Give it time. And i hear we have a great backup QB.

When I think I entered the twilight zone of stupid when it comes some of this fanbase and Dak, I remember we had an entire decade of this with Romo. Every single bad game lead to a tidlewave of people wanting him gone.

People expecting Dak to deliver 16 flawless masterpieces this year need to take a deep breath. Prescott was bad last night. Offensively, he had a lot of company.

And let's look at what some other QB's around the league did this week:

-Derek Carr hit 17 of 41 passes for 117 yards.
-Marcus Mariota was 6 of 20 for 88 yards.
-Ben Roethlisberger won, but tossed three picks.
-Russell Wilson lost and threw 5 interceptions.

And, unlike Dak, none of those guys are rookies. Let's take a cue from Aaron Rodgers last year and r-e-l-a-x. Prescott is still the same guy that won eleven in a row; after all.

That drive after the Giants pulled to within 7-3 made me scream. Zeke tore off a 13 yard run to get us into Giants territory, and then we start throwing the ball. Why?? Dak was clearly having an off night; and the conditions should have limited his throws.

Elliott had 24 carries; but where was Alfred Morris? The Cowboys should have ran the ball 40 times last night in a cold, wet stadium.

I'm so happy to see that their are not as many posters on here slamming the panic button as i thought their would be because we lost our 2nd game of the year. Every QB will have a bad game or 2 every season. Now we lost and Dak can learn from the loss.
