It's sort of ironic that he was the one who got the interception against the Lions, which was just one of many plays that led them back to the victory. I'm a huge Sean Lee fan; I just think it's humorous that Bobby Carpenter was the one who spun the pendulum the other way in our loss to the Lions.

Eventhough he is not playing for us anymore he is still hurting this team.

One play doesn't change our season... except maybe the missed play between romo and austin against the giants.

Either way, it doesn't matter. We were not good enough up front on either side of the ball to make a run. And our secondary was terrible.

C'mon. Be simple-minded here. No need to complicate the argument. :)

You sure about that?

And ironically, you need look no further than that Lions game. If we punch it in on 4th-and-goal from the 1 in the first quarter, we win that game 37-34.

No there was a bunch of things that ruined our season. It wasn't just one play by Barby.
it was many things.

it's hard to pin a season on one play even with top notch teams who execute well, much less this "bad news bears" team they've got now. It would hard to narrow it down to 20 plays that cost them the season,,,

no play that early in the season will ruin it unless that play takes out your QB for the season

I don't think I would use the term "humorous".

You sort of have to laugh. Otherwise we're just going to be tortured by Rynies post....

We could be in the Super Bowl. I vented for a couple days and let it go. There are more pressing things in life (as you know). But yes it does suck.

In defense of my idea, which isn't necessarily what I believe 100%, I think that it was a changing point when we really needed to pull together as a team. And since we had such a big lead, we failed to see the urgency, and missed an opportunity.

We broke a record for biggest lead blown though. That's an accomplishment JG has under his belt.

He has set quite a high bar for next season.

One play, one game. Are the Cowboys so fragile that the season turned on this? I think not. Game in and game out we had problems all over the place...

Only thing about saying that, is we could have lost out from there, or the Giants could have simply won out, etc. making that one play moot.

The only way something like that would have cost us the season is if it was in Week 17 and it happened at the last play of the game.

Barbie interception and icing Dan Bailey ruined our season.

It's amazing how this team rose above injuries, Phil Costa, Terrence Newman, everyone at defensive end, and everyone at ILB except for Sean Lee. With all that dead weight holding them down they still were in a position to go to the playoffs until Romo had a flashback to playing catch on the beach in Cabo with his friend Barbie and Jason Garrett decided to ice his own kicker.

It's the offseason. I'm obviously struggling for material.

Good point.

I think it would have been more of we could have been one and done. This team wasn't beating anyone in the playoffs that I have seen.

As far as Barbie ruining the season with those interceptions, that was probably the only thing he will ever do good for the rest of his career. Regardless he didn't throw to hisself.
