Yesterdays PC and it came up that Bledsoe made a statement that they should be attacking and throwing earlier in games.

Parcells was real curt. In faact pulled a no comment?

Has Drew pissed BP off? In my opinion Drew is spot on!

doubt it...according to Spags latest

When you hear tight end Dan Campbell saying, "We need to come out firing," or Bledsoe saying, "I'd like to see us come out and throw the first punch," they aren't talking about offensive concept. They are talking about offensive efficiency, meaning play well from the start so you don't get into a desperate passing mode in order to catch up at the end.

wish he'd call out Zimmer too... :)

I believe he said they need to get more aggressive earlier, and it sounded like he wasn't specifically talking about play selection, more like attitude and intensity. He's never called a coach out, and won't start now. This is something I'd expect the press to hype up and twist around

To me it didnt sound like a call but more like, he was saying that the offensiev unit themselves needs to do better and not make the stupid mistakes that we ahve made in frist quarter

Just noted Parcells no answer when told of Drews statement.

We need to be more aggressive offensively and defensively - JMO

Maybe he wanted to talk to Drew before addressing a potential flammable situation. It's one thing for a player to gripe about playing (A-train), it's another for them to openly question the coaching staff's offensive and/or defensive philosophy.

BP knew it was a baited question and did the smart thing, IMO... No Comment ;)

Bledsoe is a competitor, Parcells is trying to keep him healthy. Bet Parcells wins this argument.

Parcells knows Bledsoe's limitations. I think there is a reason for the conservative game plan.

Sounds like a non issue. As most of these things tend to be.

I think we need to be more aggressive early in games some. All this predictable runs at 3 YPC are not helping matters at all.

I think it might be a bit of both... DB saying they should take some shots early on to open up the running game while, at the same time, saying the offense needs to be mistake free and come out focused. How's that for riding a fence?

Riding a fence ???? -

Hos would be proud of you. Load up on the ice - reduces swelling.....

Nice post by the guy who whines about jokes more than anyone.

You can dish it out Nors, but you sure can't take it. Good joke though. I still like it.

i loved the way drew called out the piss poor play calling.

Agreed. If we can be a little more aggressive and lay some points on the board early and grab a lead, I can live with ramming the ball down the opponents throat with conservative play-calling.

I just don't want to START the game that way, then get behind (like we always do with this approach) and have to hope for a last minute victory which, as we know, only works half the time.

Half the time doesn't do much for me, personally.

For JJ and Wittens sake - we need to start attacking more vertically. Defenses are stuffing us short and we keep running into it!

True - everyone knows how conservative BP is and we need to start mixing it up or our running game will never come around. We're simply not good enough on the OL to take the 'ram it down your throat ' approach.

Parcells went to the dark side!

And attacked - Kudo's Bledsoe for getting after this.
